AFL Grand Final today, Adelaide aren't playing though. Just hope Collingwood don't win, couldn't stand seeing Eddie Maguire's head grow any bigger.

sure is, It's really popular here, especially in Melbourne. It's a bit different to normal footy. Lebbo probably knows more about it than me though. Too bad Syndey aren't in the finals : (

 
Yeah AFL stands for Australian Football League. And no it isn't kangaroo racing but there is a team called the Kangaroos Go to www.afl.com.au to get an idea of it, its seriously a great game though. Kima29, I'm guessing you more of arugby league fan? Anyway gotta go, game starts in 10 minutes.

Apparently it was being screened in the US on a cable channel, some friends in Littleton CO were watching it (It's about 1:15am there now).

 
Next up, the NRL (National rugby league) final next week and the Union World Cup in October and November!!!

The rugby world cup will be great! I wish I could have gotten tickets. Too bad the Swannies weren't in the final. I'm glad that Brisbane won though. I don't like Eddie Maguire!

yeah Lebbo, I prefer Rugby League, I go for the knoghts but AFL is good too, I am from Sydney so I go for the Swans : )

 
Well it was a fuckin huge blow-out. Collingwood had no hope right from the start. I think their whole game can be summed up in one moment; (shane o'bree 20m out from goal, kicking it to a team mate and the ball spraying off his foot to be out of bounds on the full.

The pies were to soft, lacked courage and simply didn't want it

my dad wasnt too happy bout the result, bein victorian. but i dont follow afl, its a mad game to watch tho, thier fitness must be so much better than most other sports, look at the size of the bloody field
