Affordable cameras/camcorders for filming edits

I’ve been trying to make a GoPro work but I just don’t like the results I’m getting. Any recommendations for a decent starter camera I can use to shoot park laps? I’m not looking to spend crazy money I just want something that works. 1080p 60-120fps maybe?
 
I have a hero 3 so it’s pretty dated. Could get a new one but I am hoping to get a proper camcorder setup as my buddies and I are getting really into filming

iPhone 11 or anything newer and buy those cheap fisheye lenses for them

This is my current set-up... still feel like its not cutting it for me. any of the fisheye lenses will shake, which bothers me to no end
 
I just got the Hero 9, there’s a deal rn they’re 350 bucks and 100% worth it. I threw a small Rode Mic on mine to cut wind noise but the quality you can get is unbelievable, and you can shoot linear (no fisheye effect) if you want too. It’s fire and the in house stabilization is great too, keeps shit so smooth
