Advice/tips on spotting your landing.

so i can spin pretty well, it is the landing that is getting to me. it just sneaks up on me. i try and look but it seems like mid-air my depth perception just goes flat and everything is just white.

i do know that for some/most, things like this are second nature and/or subconscious so explaining it is difficult. that being said I am still asking for some advice or tips on how to get it down. maybe someone told you something that made you get it a little easier and you could pass it down to me.

thanks guys!

Should be a lot easier when there's blue sky/sun. Clouds are a bitch to spot your landings in. But, if your having troubles with spotting even in good light, then yeah tramps.

Or kinda cloudy with dark af lenses. Could you be closing your eyes and then reopening for spotting? A lot of kids do that and they don't even realize it.

i might be. that is a good tip.. ill try and be aware of that tomorrow. thank you.

as for tramps, i dont have one and there is none around my locale i dont think.

if i found a trampoline what technique to practice on it? i can spin on trampolines no problems, im not into flipping yet i don't see a transition from tramp to snow if im just trying 3s could you elaborate on doing werk on tramps please

Also Lenses make a HUGE difference when the light is bad. If you're rocking a super dark sunny lens and its dark / flat light you won't be able to see shit.

Investing in a pair of clear lenses or one of the smith sensor lenses makes a huge difference.

Lots of people thought that when Henrik was wearing his goggles backwards on his helmet at X he was just being a goon... however I'd bet anything that he just wanted full clarity under the lights. Wrong lens in a set of goggles can really fuck your shit up.

Lighting can be a real bitch, so yeah, I second everything said previously about goggles/clouds/etc. When I spin, I try to visualize the trick before I drop. I think about what I'm going to see as I go through the rotation, then when I actually throw the trick, I know exactly what I'm looking for when it's time to land. The more you practice a trick, the easier this will be. Just keep at it.

I don't know how long you've been doing 3s on snow, but what helped me a lot was just thinking about the landing after the first 180 degrees. After the first 180, i just start to think about the landing and i look over my shoulder to spot it. Also try spins on bigger jumps
