Advice on helmets

looking to get a new helmet, anyone got any advice on what is good and was is shit.

dont have any particular preference on make or model, just dont want an egg shell over my brain.

white is my prefered colour and i dont want one with a visor

All the hot helmets these days are eggshell and almost perfectly round...Or they have brims/visors.

what i mean by eggshell is that it will break with a flick of your finger.

there must be some good helmets out there without visors.
