Advice on a first pair of twins...for a girl

so i've decided to make the switch (i'm an ex-racer and all - don't hate me) and i was looking for some advice on what to buy. So far i've only really checked K2 Missdemeanor and the Line Shadow, and i know i should really demo them before getting too serious, but any advice at all would be appreciated.

dont limit urself to womens specific skis u should look at the PE if its gonna be more all mountain or the AR5 but nothing will feel like a race ski there just so much not as stiff

it depends on what kind of skiing you want be doing on them?

do you want to be skiing purely powder on them?

purely park?

park and all-mountain?

do you only want to consider a stiffer flex because of your racing backround?

let us know and we can help you out a little better.

^Yeah, since you're a racer you'd probably want a stiffer ski for transition. The Volkl Karmas are really stiff, yet good for almost everything. Check them out too.

I would only be mildly concerned with flex because I am a pretty strong skier, but I definitely wouldn't want anything too stiff. I'll probably keep a pair of my old skis for when i'm out free skiing - blue mountain isn't the most aggressive terrain - so I would mostly be using these for in the park or if and when i venture out west

dont know much about women's skis but shadows should be pretty versatile.. they should be like the chronic but softer for lighter, smaller skiers (women)

I know my sister wanted to demo the line shadow but its kinda hard to find a pair when u ski at Blue. She did demo the Missdemeanor at Elk and enjoyed them. The only complaint was they felt a bit heavy. But the info that was asked befor will help narrow the list down.

you have to consider that your a ex-racer so you want a stiffer ski, plus the type of skiing, the shadow is a park/freestyle ski, and if you want to stick to line the celeberty is more all mountian/ pow,in the end its all about where your going to ski the most, but id say to not limit your self to the womens skis

buy prophet 80s, there really stiff and and a little twin tip which is all you need because it sounds like you just want a twin for the sake of having a twin

or if your actually serious about doing tricks get something else,

thanks you guys for your help! i will check out your suggestions.

and no, not PA. blue mountain in ontario.

check out the volkl karma, not a womens specific ski but pretty stiff for a twin, im an ex racer so i really like a stiff ski, ive heard it holds an edge really nice

if youre an ex racer you'll hate the line shadow. i would go with something like the line 1260, or salomon 1080's/thrusters

why would she hate the line shadow? I ski the chronic wide and i used to race and i thought they were pretty much the same stiffness.

MissDemeanours.. Ask some of the Female riders on the site, they'll tell you all about it.

Unless you're just trying to be a poser like your sister.....

And another attepmt at being funny goes down the drain... Yes, Darling you can ski circles around me. I tell everyone that all the time.. K. Any shots to take??

don't call my sister a poser.

and definitely don't call me a poser. k bud? haha.

i'll think about your suggestion though...and then we'll go skiing and i'll do backflips while we're skiing circles around you.
