They are easier than you think. Just jump and spin a 360 and with your left hand (assuming you are spinng to the left) just reach back. Dont look for the grab the first few times. For me I just reach back a little and the tail kind of just ends up there. After you get comfortable just reaching and spinning while taying on access look for it grab it and tweak it. That was the worst trick tip ever. Just put your arm back and feel the ski?
just get some chicken wire and put it around ur wrist and ur ski. when u take off spin normal then just yank ur ski into ur hand w/ the chicken wire. that's how i learned.......
for me its easier to grab ith my right hand even when i spin left.... i just look back to the ski and reach...i used to had a mental block thinking that i was going to lose control but i just tried to forget about spinning and just gettin to the ski ... also try to grab near the boot nd then go higher and higher as you gain confidence
i've been practicing them lately too, i've grabbed with my right hand. i just kinda reach blindly for it, i can usually make contact with the ski, its just a matter of practicing and polishing
