What up guys...I'll be heading out to Summit County (Keystone/Breck/Dillon area to be exact) at some point in the next couple of months to start livin my dream. Couldn't be more stoked about it and I was just wondering if you guys could help me out by answering some stuff...Thanks guys

How hard is it to find work out there? Especially a job that can allow time for skiing?

Any notable areas/places in particular for jobs?

Will I be able to pay for both health insurance and rent with the type of jobs I'd be looking at?

What's the nightlife like in the Summit County area? Hot chicks, good bars?

How can I get in on some deals for lift passes?

i would try to find a job at a ski area...its not too hard and the benefits are killer. i just worked at loveland last season and i didnt pay for a day of skiing all year at different areas. its rad! have fun out here!!

1. Work is easy to find once November rolls around. There are some jobs listed right now but nothing I'd advise on getting if you wanted some good shred time. 2. A job for skiing? I'd try to work in a T-shirt job or something like that. Easily can get time to ski everyday if not 4-5 days a week. Splits are very common as well. A few of my friends work the Shirt Off My Backs in Breck and they shred pretty much everyday. Maybe one of the hotels as a bell hop/valet and work nights if you can swing it.3. Maybe. Depends on what other kinds of bills you have. 4. Night life varies from place to place. Some would say Breck is the 'place' and well, its fine. Def gets crowded on weekends at the usual places. The bars are decent. Dos Locos on Thursday nights is pretty fun if you're into people singing while being pretty drunk. Personally, I enjoy the Pub in breck.4. Work at a resort or a place that'll front you for your ski pass and gradually take it out of your paycheck as the season goes.
I'd be sending out resumes now for places you're interested in.
Best o luck.

getting friends to come out with you helps...cheaper rent...split groceries, beer, etc.
I packed up last january and started going to school in denver. it sucks because I'm limited to weekend shredding but I still managed to get 50+ days in last season, and I had a dope year so it was all good. working my way up to 100% bummin it. probably renting a place out for all of december (semester break) so I can live the life a little bit. I plan on taking summer classes next year and taking the spring semester off to just shred and work.

I'd say your best bet would be getting a job as a bartender or waiter. You can make bank while only working about 5 or 6 hours a day and still be able to ski all morning and early afternoon

I think so. I used to go quite a bit last year when I was living in Dillon but since I moved to Breck, I've only been to Dos for happy hour and a few Sundays for NFL games. Maybe I'll go tonight, a few of my keystone pals go all the time.
