picking up my copy at midnight tonight. stoked to see what they've done with this one. yeah, yeah, cod is played. whatever. they're still fun games. more of a campaign player anyways.

First thing I noticed is how slow they made the regular play to compensate for the dash ability. Regular movement is fairly slow while the dashing is almost a must if your trying to rush somewhere. Even then it can take a bit of getting used to. I am still kind of figuring out everything for the most part.

ok, so like I said, I haven't played the multiplayer yet. picked it up at midnight last night and played the campaign for about an hour or so. here's what I've experienced with the exo-skeleton thing. the jump boost thing is pretty cool. it's two part - you've got a jump boost and also a descent control (I guess you could call them)....so you can jump off of a building and slow your descent.
as for the amount of boost, jumping straight up, i'd say you could maybe jump one-ish stories? jumping up and out, you can almost jump up an entire flight of stairs.it's kind of cool in that you can use the jump boost and then the descent control to kind of hold yourself up in the air ...then you can glide across a battle position....from one building to another, etc.
you've also got a boosted dodge (don't remember the official name for it). basically you can boost/move fast left, right, or backwards to dodge an attack.
there are actually two different kinds of exoskeletons in the campaign. one of them has the boost jump stuff I was talking about above. the other has a built in riot shield, but no jump boost. both seem to have boosted dodge. haven't gotten to use this second one other than a little training thing at the beginning of the game.
unfortunately i had to work this morning, so I didn't get to play very much last night. also have never played titanfall, so I don't really know how closely these controls/options mimic that game. so far though i'd say it's pretty dope. the graphics are absolutely fucking beautiful....even on a ps3....i can't even imagine what it looks like on a next gen system.
