Ads sound level

Hey

I was just wondering if I was the only one around here who has some ads that play ultra loud (the Gopro ones, especially). I don't mind the ads in general (apart for APO's one, it really fucking sucks), but having my ears blown away every time is quite frustrating at times.

Basically just wondering if NS can do something about this or is it "my" problem (as in: I'm the only one getting this).
 
Could you take down super quick notes on which ads it is that cause the problem?

We'll need to do some analysis on what is an 'acceptable sound level' - as I do understand what you mean. Its very hard to normalize, as a quiet video could make an ad seem really loud.

Definitely willing to check into this though, as we want pre-roll to be as acceptable of an experience as is possible.

 
All the GoPro ads are super loud for me, same goes for APO's one, and there was one from Smith that was also pretty loud (the one with Genesis from Justice as song).

Actually I kind of found a solution: if I lower my computer sound and put Newschooler's sound at max it evens out pretty well.

Doug, just tell your clients to set their db level to -10 and they won't be super loud. The GoPro and apo ones are definitely above accepted TV ad levels.
