Adobe Premiere Pro vs. Adobe Elements

Okay, so, I need new editing software because WMM isn't cutting it anymore. My videography class uses Adope Premiere Pro, and its a fuckin baller program. However, its pretty expensive, and it retails for something like $400. With my student discount I can get it for about $150. On the other hand, Adobe Elements is a watered down version of Premiere Pro that retails for $150, and with my student discount I could most likely get it for under $100. Which seems like a better deal?

aight, my bad, premiere pro retails for 800...it'll probably cost me more than 150 with my student discount...

go with premier pro... i think the edu price at my school brings it down to about 500 or do then 699 with after effects

You're not getting Premiere 2.0 for $150, sorry.

Try it off of adobe.com (one month trials - full version) that should help you figure out whether or not you really need the pro version. If Elements is too basic and you don't want any other products from adobe suite (After Effects, Audition, CS-2 - which i kind of see as a necessity) to supplement premiere just look into Sony's Vegas.

If you don't want to pay for anything, get the trial and shoot me a PM, i have keys for all the aforementioned software, plus shit like dreamweaver.

just download a torrent program (like Azureus or whatever someone said one up in the thread to) and then afters its installed search on google torrent to adobe premier pro. then download the link for the torrent and open it in whatever torrent program you downloaded

Yea, thanks guys, you're right, i don't know why i thought i could get it for $150, jeez...I think my best bet at this point is to do what What_A_Wookie says,
