Let me see if I understand your example correctly? You would want an image or logo to appear to be sitting on a chairlift as the chairlift goes by, right?
Fortunately, that's a pretty simple effect if you already have the image/logo/whatever created. All you would have to do is motion track the chairlift (or whatever you want). In AE, bring up the tracker controls (Window > Tracker Controls), click Track Motion and move the tracking point onto a highly visible part of the chairlift, and press play in the Tracker Control window. Once the chairlift is tracked, you'd copy the keyframes from "Track Point 1" and paste them as position keyframes on your logo. And BAM the logo follows the chairlift.
I imagine those brief instructions didn't make much sense, but if you watch a couple video tutorials on motion tracking and perhaps re-read my instructions you'll get it right away.
