Adjustment of bindings

Hey guys.

I have got a minor problem here. Just bought a pair of atomic bent chetler with marker jester 16 bindings, which I will mainly be using for pow and groomers. The problem is that I dont know if I have to adjust the bindings the same way as on my ar7s with dynastar px12 bindings that i use for park.

Weight: about 80 kilos and my px12 bindings are set to 7 at the moment. Should i put my jesters on 7 as well or how should i adjust them?

Hope somone can help me out, thanks.

I CAN answer your question, but first, I must know a few things.

First, are the bindings already mounted?

Second, are you just trying to set the DIN? or are you trying to adjust the forward pressure to fit a different boot?

Finally, What kind of powder skiing are you going to do? hard charging? cliffs? or just roll though some fluffy stuff? What "skier level" are you? 1, 2, 3 or 3+? (1 being "beginner", 3+ being "you shouldn't be asking this question")

The bindings are already mounted, yes. I am just trying to set the DIN and I would rate my self about 2 (an average skier who started freestyling a few years ago). Might be doing small cliffs, otherwise just chilling around and building some bc kickers. Thinking about 7 as my park skis, but asking to be sure so I dont mess myself up.

Ok, 7 should be fine, however, you might have to run at an 8 because Jesters only go down to 6 and being that close to the bottom DIN setting can lead to the springs backing out and setting your DIN virtually at zero, which is not safe and annoying, especially in powder.

As for how to set them, in the heel piece the DIN screw in tip of the release lever (lift the lever like your boot is in it and look from the top, you'll see the screw) in the toe piece there's a hole on the side of the toe piece (if I remember correctly it's the left side). Just use a screwdriver to set them (righty tighty=higher DIN, lefty loosey=lower DIN).

Well think ill put them at 7 to start with, then see if i pop out or what happens. And if I should pop out too easily then adjust them to 8. Thanks for the help!
