Adjustable poles

i love the idea of adjustable poles so i can make em real short for the park or regular length for free riding but if i fall and bend em will i still be able to adjust em? or will i be screwed? im looking at possibly buying the joystick adjustable pole off of seshday. dunno how the end of this text got screwed up and im too lazy to fix it.

If its aluminum and it bends then they're kind of toast. You could bend them back to the point of working, but it just won't be the same, and if toucan bend it back then it's probably screwed. If they're a composite pole than it shouldn't matter. Bottom line, aluminium: not good for park, composite: good for everything.

I wouldn't recommend them for park. There is a lot higher chance of them breaking and then you are screwed. Get them for days where you are all over the mountain, and you can adjus the length for regular riding, longer for hiking and shorter for an occasional park run. Then get some cheap short poles for park days

In theory, they are the fucking bee's knees.

But in reality, I don't think they would work very well. Think about it, when you are skiing park your poles take a pretty good beating since you usually fall more often than powder runs. This is the case for me, at least. I would rather just invest in two separate poles and keep one pair nice.. but I guess I don't have to worry about that since I'm a park rat.

I too like the idea. But I have broken countless pole and dont want to blow more then $40 on poles ever. But I am on a quest! A quest too find adjustable poles for cheap.

..Except for park. Most composite poles are heavy as fuck and just adds awkward weight to your hands when throwing those future spins
