search bared it, and it seems to be that "nikwax" is the way to go... so i'm gonna buy it from backcountry.com but they have alot of damn nikwaxes.

by the description it sounds like this is the one:

Buy the Tek Wash and Wash-in, you want both. Wash with the tek was first, then the wash-in. Make sure you read the fabric care instructions on your jacket/pants first though.

i've heard that the tek wash leaves some kind of residue on the jackets... did that happen to you?

i used tek wash on my jacket and it was fine, worked quite well too

yea, its the best form of nikwax i have used yet...and i have used most of them. but you need the tech wash to make it work.
