I love how add is just another made up disease for people to make excuses for their behaviour with. EVERY SINGLE PERSON HAS TROUBLE CONCENTRATING AT TIMES. It's not a disorder so stop making excuses and get over it!! odd isn't how easy it is to be diagnosed with it and then put on expensive pharmaceuticals for it? People make me sick.

uyeah I got diagnosed with ADD when I was a kid and Ithink its totally bullshit I mean they should have just diagnosed me with being a kid. Its not like I wanted to be in school I wasnt challenged nor entertained so I fucked off its that simple

I was diagnosed with add, never took medication and still excelled in school

show me irrefutable proof that every person diagnosed with add has different brain activity from those who haven't (yet) and I'll believe you

i think it might be overly diagnosed, but I know a few people who have ADD really badly, and there's no other explanation. They don't like the fact that they get 'priveleges' because of it.

well its not like everyones brain functions in the exact same way anyways, so yeah your chemical balance and brain activity might be a little different then the next persons, but it doesnt mean you have a disease, i also think its total bullshit and kids that have been told they have it believe it and they act in a way that they have been diagnosed to, and they dont think theres anything wrong with it because, hey they have a problem, i think noone should be told they have it and if someone really has problems try somethin other than just medication and telling someone they have a disease, everyone is just too negative about the whole thing

I have adhd, and have been on a plethora of drugs. Sure they help, but they also have side affects. Loss of appetite, sleep, bad taste in mouth....it's just not healthy.

It is a disorder, it IS over diagnosed, and the problem is that people don't know what the real signs of it are.

The biggest sign is impulsivity, and a lack of consideration for reprecussion and consequence.

ADD is a disease created by our society. We are not evolved to live in a school system, why should we be expected to succeed at it?

ADD is real but many people are overdiagnosed with it. You know if it is for real or if it is just behavioral skills after a while. But seriously, even if you think that you might have ACTED like you had ADD one day, you should join the cult. Its a good time.

add is real anyone that has it bad like me sure as hell knows that too but ya its over diagnosed alot and it would be alot harder to diagnosed for older kids because well think about any slacker could hear a few words about it and say thats whats wrong with him but if u have it bad you would be diagnosed really young hell i was on mass pills for it in preschool
