Anyone read this mag? Could be the best mag out there right now...the articles are so good. if you haven't read it and your left winged you should definetly read this.

we read that mag last year for my english media class, then we had to make our own ads, it's a cool mag and gives you a different perspective on the media and advertising out there.

I don't wanna sound like an asshole here kids but addbusters is the mtv of activism. They sell t shirts man. I still read it though, and since 98 percent of everyone I know is mtv ZI geuss it serves its purposs

 
i dunno man, there's really no way of getting these ideas across effectively without tapping into the market somewhat. i personally don't mind giving some of my money to the organization.. now, i'm not going to sport some tshirt with a catchy anti-consumerism slogan; but at the same time, it's better than having a nike shirt.

i wouldn't say that it's just bent on spreading anti-consumerism. it calls itself the 'journal of the mental environment.' as far as it being commercial itself, i think that if it takes a piece of the market away from what it's up against - ie. getting us to not buy whatever, or raising our awareness so that we don't contribute to whatever is of concern, then i think it has met its purpose.

 
Adbusters is a great mag and it opens a different way of life to many americans. that should sum it up.
