last year i thought about putting a proposal together for activision o2 (like they would actually pay attention to my ass), is anyone here stupid enough to tell me that they wouldn't buy a skiing video game by activision (makers of tony hawk). i figure all kinds of resorts. photo sessions. urban lines in snowy cities. you could do tons of stuff, get all the pros on there, big mountain and park rats. it would be ill. how many total pairs of twin tips have been sold in the last five years? uh, like a billion. fuckin make a god damn game already.

that would be awesome for sure, of course everyone on here would buy it, but is 20000 copy enough to pay all the rights to put the ski brands in? the resort? pay rights to the rider?...not quite sure...

In case you did not know, brands would pay to put their logos and gear in the game. And reorts would do it too. I think that all Activision needs to know is that their is already a large base for the game and that if it was good it would seel alot. Aggressive Inline is a rollerblade game, and that was a good game. People who didnt even like rollerblading bought the game, because it freakin rocked. I have a feeling that once Moseley's pile of shit is forgotten we will see a good skiing game.

i tried to send an email to them about that but it turned out to be just a forum. i think it'd be a great idea to do it though. activision could do it for sure. they could make it a lot better than mad trix. itd be cool if u could take off ur skis and walk around and like session on rails and stuff. itd be awsome.

yeah a modded version of Amped 2. get an Xbox emulator adn mod that shit. or not. but yeah thatd be sweet being able to take of ure skis and hike. and hed like..either walk with tem over his shoulder or with one in each hand...itd look killer!!!

oh yeah dude when i said proposal i meant fuckin proposal. i mean like level layouts, characters, goals, extras, sponsors...and yeah the proposal would definately start with a jib movie and some big mountain skiing. but those nazi fuckers never called me back i left hella messages.

question is do you try to have the game be big mountain and jibbing or just jibbing. tony hawk has street and vert riders - thats kinda similar (but not really)

Just so you guys all know...this forum is responsible for the 2nd johnny moseley game not getting finished. It was going to be much much better. And beyond that...atleast we could have played a ski game. Congratulations everybody that dissed mad trix :)

^Though that's probably true(I have no reason to believe it isn't, especially considering the source), I find it hard to believe that a little bit of talk on a website that has the reputation that NS has could have ended a project that probably cost millions to develop.

if you wanted to do pro realistic or what ever you were saying, just add in a style buttons like in amped 2. All this sounds good and I'll sign my name on a petition to get that game up and running. It'd be cool to have a game set up like thug where you start out as a kid at a small resort and work your way up gaining sponsers until you get copped out by a bastard named eric sparrow. those who've played thug know what i mean

rebs_army - to answer your question, about how many people freestyle motocross. For one, it's more than newschool skiing. and For two, it has a much much bigger following. Way bigger spectator sport right now, do you realize at the x-games, 60,000 people came to the stadium to watch freestyle motocross?

Take into consideration that all these companies care about is money. Understand that and you can understand how to work with them. Show them how the newschool skiing market is booming. Show them statistics how it has increased over the years. Show them a movie. Convince them that the market will explode and to get a niche in the industry before the competition does.

nah it have to be either tanner halls pro skier, or candide thovex pro skier pep just hasn't been around long enough to get his name on it (even though he kinda deserves it)

skiing is at a point where johnny moseley isn't necessarily going to the selling point. if activision makes it and you make good commercials with sick music and footage and if it gets one good review its good to go.

 
About 60,000 people whatching motocross, not all the people there were to specifically see moto-x, some like to say that they went to the x games or they just thought it looked interesting to watch. The x games have free admission, so there really is no reason why it wouldn't be packed. But what about monster trucks? Stadiums sell out of those tickets all the time. We don't really see local park monster truck leagues, or we don't have school nascar clubs. I think that game industries dunno what's up in skiing, and so if oakley donated a copy of 1242 to activision it would help. It sounds like a legit idea, and if oakley really cared about the sport's publicity, they would probably gather up all of the very little money they have (yeah right) and donate a copy to activision. We need to hand the sport to the game company, not expect them to buy into it.

Hey fag, the actual runs were in the LA Coliseum, and that was not at the Staples center. The peopel there for that were there specifically for that, and even the Big Air was the biggest draw of the day. So in fact there were 60,000 people there to see freestyle mx. And the other thing is that it would not be Johnny Mosely cuz he is gay. And Activision would do one in a second given the motivation. And they would have morrison and Plake and whatnot to have a more rounded out roster, you know the big mountain guy and the geezer. And it would be by EA Big, cuz SSX is better than Shaun Palmers Snowboard crap.
