Acoustic Guitar

Hey I need some songs for acoustic to learn. I'm bored with everything i have. If anyone has heard Song for George by Eric Johnson maybe something along those lines. I just learned that and its a sickk song. Or maybe something a bit mellower. Thanks

ultimate-guitar.com

learn under the bridge by the chili peppers. then can't stop, then learn like some eric clapton

^ why would you suggest chili peppers for good acoustic?? they are all electric

look up some sublime or slightly stoopid they have good acoustic songs

not true. there are some acoustic versions of their songs.

and i'd go with chordie.com

they have everything you'd ever need, and more. especially if you can't read tabs yet. some songs have the chords above the corresponding lyrics.

it's good stuff.

i disagree, i think the "under the bridge" acoustic is just as good. and i bet "scar tissue" would sound good too. i suggest learning some jack johnson. depending on your level of skill, you could learn "banana pancakes" if your more of a beginner and "taylor" if you're better. have fun jammin dude

fuck the hype on learning other artsits' work. write your own shit.. i cant stand playing and someone asks me to play a song they know, you should learn to appreciate guitar for what it is and the endless possibilities on it. artists dont write songs for the intention of having other people play them.. write something that you are stoked about, and you will mever get sick of playing it

but in other news one of my favorites to play is no woman no cry, fugees version, and jsut solo out of it and what not

i understand what your saying but i find that you need to play other peoples to learn new things the pieces you cover have to be challenging or it doesnt help you

by learning other peoples work you develop you own style and feel which is extremely important it you want to be original and individual in you in your music but i do love covers

cabron by rhcp is an awesome acoustic song

also i like to play

zeplike and sun is shining by slightly stoopid (pretty much anything off live and direct)

stairway to heaven and over the hills and far away by zeppelin

i like fluffhead and train song by phish too

ya theres tons obviously just listen through your itunes and I always find that new stuff catches me and i decide i want to learn it--thats one of my methods at least try it out maybe you'll find something
