Acing a test

just did the opposite. thought I bombed a question. prof musta overlooked it. add another A+ to my list. fuck yeah.

I can usually guess within 5% my score on an exam after I have taken it. Kinda sucks, cause even after the exam I can still be a bit stressed out.

I have gotten quite a few 95%+'s so far in college, but I don't think I have ever gotten a 100% yet. I mean I have gotten them in non-major classes but those don't count at all.
 
Is math super easy in 'merica or something...? There's no way there's that many kids, especially on NS, that regularly get 100s on tests, unless your tests are super easy/your teachers are super easy... I know tons of smart kids, who regularly get 95+, but rarely 100s - there's too many little things you can lose marks on. Not always just about getting the right answer...
 
i got a few 100s on tests in algebra.

but this year in history i had a really dumb teacher and she gave out 1st grade level work. one quarter i didn't miss one point on one paper or test. perfect 100.
 
really what kinda math tests are you writing?

But this time wasn't a math test it was a quantum physics test. I've only ever got 100% on one math test I think.
 
Stupid ones, tbh. We can lose marks for form... can't remember any specific examples atm, but yeah it's stupid. Also, our math tests sometimes involve explanation questions... and I'm not very good at explaining shit, so it's pretty hit and miss there. I dunno, I consider myself a pretty smart guy, and most of my friends are damn smart as well, but our math tests tend to be so comprehensive and the shit we're learning has so many details that it's super easy to screw up and lose a mark for something stupid.
 
ah yeah. proofs. I am pretty good at applied math but can never remember how to do epsilon deltas and all that shit. wish they had separate math classes for math majors who actually care about proofs.
 
its a lot more like this. getting a test, flipping through the pages and realizing you know absolutely nothing that is on the test. Such a great feeling.
