it's dope, i went there, lots of different kinds of people to chill with, skiing's pretty close, and i met some really good ski friends there. PM me if you want to ask anything in particular

its a fun time. you make what you want of the academics. You can work really hard and challenge yourself, or you can take the online comm classes and only go for the exams. Skiing is close enough, a little over an hour to Mt. Snow (55 miles each way), Berkshire east does $5 nights on Thursdays but they pretty much dont have a park thats ride-able. Town is cool I guess, the people that live there full time are weird but the bus system is nice. Partys seemed like they were going downhill during my time there but its not as bad as the media portrayed the Blarney blowout to be this year.

oh, ski club was a waste of time but I also had people i knew there to ride with.

My sister goes there. I got in too but I'm not going. Thought the school was gross and didn't find it attractive. Unless you're getting in state tuition, I don't recommend it but its all personal preference.

Prepare for Masshole overload... I have a good amount of friends from Mass and I am actually currently living in Boston, but that would be too much douchiness for me.

I went to phish there 4 years ago. That's about all I know about the place. Had a good time at the show so sure, why not go there.

Also noho has some good shows. You've got the calvin theater and pearl street club right there only a 15/20 min drive from ya.

If you like music that is

Is this umass the same as amherst university? I thought it was just called amherst. That famous suicidal professor was a prof there i think

it is not. Amherst College is about a mile away in the center of town. Umass Amherst is a much larger public university on the west side of Amherst. Through the five college program you can take classes interchangeably while being enrolled at any of the Amherst/Northhampton/South Hadley colleges (Hampshire College, Smith College, Amherst College, Umass Amherst, Mt Holyoke Collge)
