wow, that bike rack jib was very original, what nutjob would even think of that? I will buy this for sure.

im pretty sure the one clip in the middle with a jump on top of a cliff step down huge thing is right on the backside of park city, i think i saw it.

this one is what im talking about

fuck yeah Pink Floyd!!

ONE OF THESE DAYS IM GOING TO CUT YOU INTO LITTLE PIECES

holy shit thats one of my alltime favorite songs

wilson hit that in tbc.

that movie is gonna be fuckin insane, the lineup is sooo fuckin stacked. yet another snowboard movie that will put every ski movie to shame.

that trailer was 100% progessive. cable cams in the bc? that is crazy, one of the best trailers of anything that i have ever seen.

seriously, and truly epic.

The footage was siiiick, proggresive and huge. But the editing and the song put together with it really didnt apeal to me. Sorry to say but that wasnt a great trailer.

On par with the "Roam" bike video posted.

What we need is a video like this that is skiing/snowboarding all at once. Skiers/snowboarders hiting lines together side by side. We need to band together for the future of both of our sports, united by our love of the mountains. It just so happens that the best snowboarders I know are chicks, and the best skiers I know are guys. We go out and rip together, united. It is where things need to go.

cable cams in the BC!!!!...why has this taken so long to see and why wasn't it in a ski movie first!? That is the most sickestest trailer i've seen to date.

wow, that was awesome. soo sic. the angles on those shots were very impressive, as was the ridding. definatly makes me wanna ride

wow, snowboaders make skiers look like bitches with the shit they are doing in the bc. that was the sickest trailer i have ever seen n i am definitely buying this before any ski movie accept for bermans

im pretty sure that this will be the best movie of the year, hands down. This is where skiing should and hopefully can be. everybody on this site should watch this teaser.

So far ahead of skiing in the bc. Absinthe may not have the best editing, but there cinemitogarphy is the best out there. Future Proof did not have one cat built jump in the whole movie besides the 180 footer. Uhhh come on skiing catch up.

that was teh fuckign raddest thing ive ever seen.

they really are light years ahead of us-they combine the balls of seth with the style of pollard charging like hugo on teh sickest terrain

jesus fuckign christ

they truly have done what we are callign for in the ski industry; the true blending of bring park style to tech bc lines...and tehn having crazy progressive butters, and that impossible biek rack rail

those pillow drops whhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaat with trizicks? cliffity cliffity

i said fuck liek 80 times durign that

i want to snowboard

usually theres on e awesome shot in a ski trailer that blow you away and makes you rewind and watch ti again-that was that whoel teaser...and i loved the use of kids/old guys "checkign out whats going on over there"?

I'm gonna go against what everyone has said and say it was boring. The stuff was cool but I wouldn't say it was ahead of skiing. The angles and stuff werent any different then anything else I've seen. It actually reminded me of the riding in the Theory 3 movies with the cool urban rails and insane backcountry stuff.

skiing will never reach this level for four reasons:

1st, most pro skiers spend months competing and not filming.

2nd, every one of the riders in absinthe has a snowmobile, traveling in a pack using one another. tanner bought his 1st sled this season, how's that for progression. dumont still doesn't have a sled, nor has he traveled with more than three other pros all season. point: no continuity with more than 3-5 guys with any crew for skiing.

3rd, these guys understand there goals, they could give a shit about drinking fine wine in far off lands for cinematography purposes. these guys want the biggest jumps, best landings, best rails, etc. they understand it takes an entire season to get this. sage travels the enitre season and look at his part last year, not even close to this, he would rather follow the tgr suit and say how "epic it was."

4th and final, no ski film company will ever get a dozen riders to commit to one outfit for an entire season. the average skier would rather get a couple shots in multiple films.

SKIING JUST DOESN"T GET IT. IT HAS IT'S MOMENTS LIKE THE HIP AT MAMMOTH, BUT THEY ARE SHORT LIVED AND NOT CONTINUAL AS A GROUP THROUGH AN ENTIRE SEASON. MACK DAWG CREW STICKS WITH MACK DAWG. DEFECTIVE FILMS STICKS WITH DEFECTIVE. ABSINTHE STICKS WITH ABSINTHE. RIDERS LIKE VANULAR AND CARLSON ARE WITH MULTIPLE OUTFITS SPENDING MUCH OF THEIR TIME COMPETING.

holy shit that riding was soo sick. that was amazing. I thought the editing was a bit weak, but the riding and the insane angles more than made up for it

All I have to say to, "skiing will never reach this level for four reasons" is.. skiing shouldn't be looking towards snowboarding for whats cool. "Reaching this level" isn't reaching this level, its imitation.. although imitation may be flattery in some respects snowboarding is its own realm.

Too much of the attitude of skiing these days is to look towards snowboarding for cues to do something new or adopt a particular style.

If you really have to look towards another sport for style or "progressing the progressiveness of progression" (blah blah blah) try surfing.. Surfing is the action sport that birthed every other alternative "extreme" sport. Surfers reek of style, committment and balls.

All in all ski to ski.. not to be as cool as snowboarding.

That wasn't a cable-cam...it's a stinkin' "camera on a hovercraft, helicopter kinda thingy"....just because you weren't feeling the edit, or song doesn't mean that this isn't progressive. it's sooooo far beyond where skiing is that I might go back to boarding again.
