I was wondering what everyone's view on Absinthe is.... I really want to try it -- I know its illegal here, but its easily imported... great article in MAXUM about it a few months back.

 
it's like, illigal almost everywhere... real hard to get a hold of it as of my understanding.

seems like everything is illegal in the states... It's a liqueur made of wormwood, and it's supposed to be poisonous but it's not, why the hell would they be sellin it if it was dammit.

^technically alcohol is poisonus too.

this is a type of drink which is supposed to work as a hallucagen. i havent tried it, but some people go insane if they do it (like van gogh). it's supposed to really fuck you up

i didnt think it was illigal here. last time some one posted about this they said its illigal to buy here but you can get it imported and its not illigal. something about thc in drink and alcohol if you drijnk the right amount you hallucinate.

it's illegal for shops to sell it in the US, kinda like redbull is illegal to be sold in canada, but you can bring a certain amount back with you from other countries. they didn't hassle me at all when i brought it back from london, and i wasn't even legal drinking age at the time. it's decent stuff, tastes alot like licorice (think hectic jagermiester) and supposedly the wormwood content makes you trip face. it really just gets you sloppy drunk unless you blow a line of K or something, then you might trip like you would on mushies. i dunno, mixing drugs is sketch, so do what you want. you can order online www.seborabsinthe.com, but i suggest finding someone to brink it back, because they charge an arm and a leg to have it sent to the states. plus they will only ship the 55% alcohol by volume, where as there are kinds that exist up to 85% if you buy it in a legal country.

on another note, i would just suggest getting mexcal from mexico. it's a for of agave tequila that basically is the mexican version of absinthe. but it fucks you up more, makes you trip more,a nd is much cheaper. and it tastes like tequila instead of licorice. oh, and you get a nice case of the shits the next day unledd you can really handle your tequila

Absinthe isn't as cool as its made out to be. Drank it, just gotta pretty sloppy hammered nothing of the tripping sort happened. But who knows, you can import it as well but it costs a shitload..

Yea man, preparation is the key. Take it properly and you'll have a night to remeber, or not as the case may be! Ive had many a good night on the old absinthe here in the UK. In most bars they only let you have 3 shots per night per person cos it fucks you up so bad. doesnt stop you moving on to the next bar tho!!

Ive had some serious trips on ab, pretty mellow on its own, but doing it whilst on mushies fucks you up bad, and mdma+ab = interesting night, bad morning

friend brought it back from denmark like 3 weekends ago. Did 2 double shots, burned the sugar in a spoon, poured it in the shot, stirred, then drank it.

This was after havin a few beers. Didn't notice any trippin, just felt real drunk. I thought the stuff tasted like shit personally.

I'd try it again sometime, but I think if you want to get drunk like that, you're better off just drinkin some other hard A that you like.

 
There's tons of types of absinthe, some of it has more wormwood than others. It's the wormwood that makes you hallucinate because it has a similar molecular geometry to THC, that's why it's illegal, it's almost like cannabis.

 
Aight, the only Absenth that will make you trip contians WORMWOOD. all the other shit is just strong booze. in canada they sell stuf called Absneth but its not the trippin kind, aka it contains to wormwood.

I've had it before, and I thought it was decent stuff. I didn't drink too much (only a couple shots), so I didn't experience the total effect, but it was alright stuff.

It's a kick in the mouth when you first taste it though- damn!

i had 2 in a row near the end of a night of heavy drinking, it had no effect. i swear they water it down round here.
