? about line freedom plate (for line binding)

it looks like the plate sticks out alot infront and behing the binding, does it? also, it looks like it makes the binding stand alot taller, do you think it will make much of a difference in that respect?

^^^^ Line commented a while back that the plate only looks big because it is solid but it actually has the same height and rise then any other average race binding out there........ but who care? its the sickets binding out there.
