Well, most people on this site are too ignorant to realize that Mt Creek has a sick array of riders especially for the area I mean its New Jersey. No mountains in Pa can compete with the talent that creek has in skiers. Also if the S rail had been put out and the street style handrail rainbow, not only would that be they be the best in rails on the east coast but they would def have most incredible variety for the east coast. I haven't been to stratton THIS YEAR so I can't compare but I was at killington about two weeks ago and their rails were a complete joke compared to mt creek's but then again i hav to say most mountains hav better rails than killy as of now. Also this place gets a shitload of gapers and joeys from new york city prob more than any other mt on east coast and for what mountain creek has to deal with they keep everything up pretty well. On the weekends, theres a shitload of gapers that hit rails as jumps and the sides etc yet mt creek manages to maintain it pretty well. I mean I will go as far as to say this place gets more crowded than any mountain on the east coast. Hmmm lets see why you ask? try this on a weekend if you get there past 9:30am theres almost a 1mile to 1.5mile backup to the mountain throughout the town of vernon. In the lodge at vernon in the afternoon there almost NEVER a decent place to sit. Skis hav been stolen while only being left alone for a minutes time ( not sayin this doesnt happen JUST here but still ). There are traffic cops hired on the weekends right at the base of the mt. The mt gets so nuts that peopel used to park in an abandoned CHURCH parking lot JUST to get a closer spot and creek coudlnt do anythin about it til they roped the thing off liek a mother fucker. I dont mean like a piece of plastic i mean like a freakin wall. When u go down the beginner trails honestly dont kno how u can ski normally there somtimes at some points there has to be like 3 skiers per 20 sq ft-a rough estimate may not even be right but ITS A LOT. I have been to a lot of crowded mountains( killy,tremblant, hunter,windham,camelback, jack frost,big boulder, blue mt pa, sugarbush,okemo,gore) on the east coast but this place takes the cake. Although I have only been out west to Whislter in the summer, I can't vouch for how bad the crowds are but im sure they arent worst than creek. I mean if u ask me thats fuckin insane. New York city is the biggest city in the U.S. and mountain creek has to deal with it the most. Think about that next time you go there cuz the place gets more skier traffic than you wouldn't believe.
