about center mounting skis

ok, i got new Armada AR5 and i took it to shop to get my binding mounted....that idiot at the shop didn't center mount my binding....it's like an inch back from the center. should i re-mount it? or would it weaken my skis? what do u guys say?

 
you should mount on the center line because the ski was designed so your foot would be there. center mounted skis suck anyway because they ski like shit

 
well for starters, armadas suk, and skis arent designed to be center mounted

are they mounted true center 1 in back or back from armada factory specs? cuze if its 1 back from true it should be dope

if you want your skis mounted true center, you have to tell them that. they arent just going to automatically mount them true center because most people would get pissed. plus true center sucks because you cant ski shit outside of the park

lol, you are getting burnt here. But they're right, you do have to tell them where to mount the bindings. The technicians might tell you otherwise, but smoking an ounce a day does not let you read minds, so you tell them first.

In tractor pulls, a 'full pull' is the best you can get. Ahh, how sport mirrors life.
 
hey, that happened on my fugatives and i gotem remounted center. they plug up the holes and ive been riden hard on em for a while and i havnt found any probs at all due to the remount

 
Let's think about this for a second...

Armada has put tons of time into developping ALL aspects of their skis, including a suggested mounting position. You, on the other hand, have no idea what you're talking about and are going on hearsay and rumour.

As long as they're mounted on the factory printed center line, there's no issue. It' where they'll ride best.

Put your boot in your binding. Then check to make sure bootsole center is right above the printed line on the ski. If it's not, bring them back and bitch. You shouldn't settle for a remount, cuz they fucked up.

an inch back is a long way depending on how long the skis are. I agree with you, ride it for a bit and if it feels bad remount. Center mounting makes switch takeoffs and landings much eaiser.

 
^ Yes, centre mounting is great for park only, but take them outside of that, and they blow. If they screwed them up, get them to give you a new pair mounted properly.

i would have to dissagree, my fujatives are pretty much centered and i love them in and out of teh park, i dont think armadas are made to be centered though. leave it.

 
u fools r fools and obviously dont ski skis that r centre mounted. they ski fine everywere and carve completly normal if that what your gay ass is into. i have mine mounted a half cm forward mounted. chew on that bitches.

how a ski will actually ski when center mounted depends entirely on the ski itself. centermounting 4frnts wouldnt be that big of a difference because they already are mounted pretty far forward, whereas centermounting 1080's would make a huge difference, because the narrowest point on the ski is so far back. someone above said about the boot midsole, as long as that is lined up with the boot center line on the ski, your fine, but armadas, in my opinion, ski like crap regardless

 
my 1080s arent center mounted and skiing switch isnt a problem. But my new skis I'm getting center mounted. I think it'll be better for rotating.
