Abortion, pro or con?

let it be legal for people who want it. separation of church and state.....doesn't belong in politics. I can understand both points of view, but I'm more on the free choice part.

To make a point: has anyone thought about how hypocritical it is that Republicans are leading voices in the pro-life argument? Republicans are about small government, right? The government interfering in the personal choices of women regarding their bodies completely goes against the republican ideal. Why?

I'm personally against it but I'm not the one having the abortion. U wanna have one u gotta live w that choice. As w gay marriage the reason that this country is great is the hope that equality is for every one gays straight ppl Christians and all other faiths. For the same reason Christian s can worship freely gay ppl should get the same tax breaks as straight people and leave the word marriage out of it.

Pro choice, simply because we don't need to politicize other people's moral decisions and values even though we may not agree with them. I'm not even sure if I'm pro abortion or not, don't really think about it or care, but I'm sure as hell not gonna tell other people that they can't have an abortion.

Ive always wondered this as well, but it turns out that it's due to the two party system. Because of it, both social and fiscal republicans get lumped together, so you end up with small government+anti abortion

100% pro abortion. Fuck pro choice. Fuck pro life. Every baby in every pregnant lady's stomach should get bodily nuked. Fuck that fetus up. No more children ever, the world will be a better place.

Seriously? You don't think we'll have cloning down in the next hundred years? Shit will be perfected

and the fact that the super 'devout' republicans also happen to be devout catholics---broad broad generalization for dramatic purpose---that feel the need to use their political power to influence their incredibly impressionable catholic republican voters---broad broad generalization again. stereotypical and true. Everyone knows their political/social values come from their parents; sadly, political values also align with social values in our partisan political environment. True some social values need political representation, but abortion isn't one of them.

Pro Life.

for people who are pro choice.... what if a young 21 year old girl was to say, walking home from the bars/party one night and happened to get raped buy some scumbag, does she not have the choice to birth that baby....

pro choice. Because you have to be a fucking nutcase to think a rape baby is ok to give birth to.
And even dumb bitches who are 16 get knocked up. I would much rather see a teenager correct that mistake and turn her life around than have to give the baby a poverty stricken life in an uneducated household.
Its called a mistake for a reason, and what do we do with mistakes, we correct them.
Kill the babies.
just kidding but yeah
pro choice

try that again..

"don't get me wrong, I love the idea of killing unwanted babies; it's just the notion of letting women make their own decisions that doesn't sit well with me"

-zach braff on abortions

The thread title was, "Abortion, pro or con?" so I'm guessing he's pro abortion. Not trying to be a dick, just pointing out what he was trying to say.

Lol'd all over the place.

But in regards to this thread, I am regressionist- Anti abortion, pro killing babies

pro: if the pregnancy is not at an opportune time it prevents your life, the girl's life and vagina, and a new child's life from being fucked over

con: you killed a drop of embryonic soup

A woman has a baby at her home and decides to kill it right after it's born. She's charged with murder.

A woman has an abortion and it's 100% legal.

...Doesn't make sense to me.

A human is a human and murder is murder, regardless of whether it's in a womb or not. To me, it's the same as killing a baby in a crib vs. out of a crib.

The only time I ever think it's okay is when the life of the mother is in jeopardy... though most mothers who wanted the baby would rather risk their life than abort the pregnancy anyway.

Be pregnant for 9 months and give someone the gift of life for 80+ years. Blows my mind how selfish some people can be.
