Ableton Packs

Okay so I know there are already threads about this, but i want to clean it up and figure out what my set up is missing. Post the packs that actually work with ableton.
 
I don't think this is the best place for this. Ableton has a forum, and besides that there are plenty of other music/production forums.

That's about the only help I can give you buddy.
 
There's a producer's cult on NS but it doesn't get much use.

As for "packs", what do you mean? Like synth and effects plug ins?
 
If you have ableton, it should come with some instruments, and some samples... Thats all I can really tell you. What exactly are you looking for?
 
I recently got a MPC and have been working with Ableton Studio Live 8.3 (torrented from tpb) I have been trying to find some additional instrument packs besides the sounds that come with the program.

Having some trouble finding good packs that are free (not looking to buy a pack)

Alex_G seems to be the resident expert on all this stuff, Im going through some of his threads find some more Ableton advice.
 
If I had an MPC I wouldn't be using Ableton for anything.You know 36 chambers was produced exclusively using an MPC? Those things are dope.

Download a bunch of soul/jazz albums, and start sampling.

If you have Studio, chances are you have an amazing array of instruments and effects already. Just use the synths that come with it, that should be more than enough.
 
Yeah mpc are sick, using one with ableton is almost over whelming but a lot of fun.

Also it looks like The Pirate bay has a bunch of Vengeance packs

ranging from 4, to 6, to 20 Gigs. Im going to try the 4gig one and see how that works out.
 
Vengeance packs are kind of shitty, the drums are explosively huge and really processed, almost to the point of being unusable. Depends what you want to produce, but... I don't like them. If you want to make rap instrumentals or trap see if you can track down an 808 or 909 sample pack, you can find them for free all over the place.
