I've been mixing on ableton for about a year now and just starting to get into doing dubstep on it too. I've gotten a lot of help from http://www.blogdubspot.com and http://http://zesoundsuite.blogspot.com/2010/03/nicks-tutorials.html.
But after getting comfortable with using the Simpler Instrument for making my dubstep bass i want to figure out how to make it more wompy than it already is. here's the tutorial for using the Simpler Instrument to make dubstep bass.
if you use Ableton you've definitely got to try this. And basically what I'm looking for is more sounds to use in the Simpler Instrument to make a good dubstep bass with.
and here's some other tutorials

and one more...

if you have any good dubstep or just ableton tutorials post em up.

Nvm I thought you were looking for dubstep help.

I have a couple bullshit tracks with terrible transitions.

What are some good (free/piratable) programs that can make tracks like that? I've been looking to get into it, but dont feel like doing the research for it.

for this track i used ableton with the native instruments Massive. this is my first crack at using this specific VST, and my first crack with sound synthesis using Massive so tell me what yall think
and Massive is the best dubstep/dirty electro house synth i have come across.

Dont want to make a thread for this.

Anyone have an mpc5000 they would be willing to sell? or trade for anthems?
