Abasin

it's awesome. i went last year. all they had for park was like 5 rails, but if you go to a-basin for the park then you are one confused little man. the skiing rules

i went on saturday and there was one run, high noon , open. no rails or anything like that, althogh there were a few sittin at the top just to tease us. i gues they got some snow this week so hopefully more stuff soon

This isnt 'Nam Dude, this is bowling there are rules
 
personally i dont see why would would be in a terrian park at a-basin. unless you ski at a-basin on a normal bases why would you wanta ski their park. there is far more to do for big mountain, if you want a park go to breck. if you want big mountain ski a-basin

Its kind of tough to ski 'big mountain' this time of year, dont ya think. I ski summit on a regular bases, do you?*

 
A-Basin is sick... like someone already said.. if you go there for the park then you are one confused little person. the terrain there is sick. ski the chutes at the top left or if you are going down go all the way to skiers left.

 
you go to abasin to ski bowls and the like... not for the park.

OMG...

Was that the question???WTF?

Let me explain. Abasin is currently the only vail resorts mountain open right now. Seeing as I dont want to spend money on a lift ticket when I already have a perfectly good pass, I would probably be going to A basin. I am fully aware of the skiing in and around summit county and realize there are mountains with better parks, but not right now. There is hardly any snow in CO right now and there definitel is not enough to ski the wall, so stop pretending to the ultimate CO local and answer the fucking question that was asked!

I 'll repeat:

Is there any park features set up at Abasin? yes? no?

does anyone know where land of the giants is at a-basin there is a sick 20 foot drop up there

there park in the spring is pretty fun

triangle box

couple of short rails

1 medium

up top

1 step up

1 tiny table with a huge landing

and in there main park ther is a twenty foot table

ok first off nca777, this is not your thread, so dont get all pissed off when they dont answer your question. and second off i was refering to stylefree's question because it is his thread, i beleave that most people on here were anwsering to him, i had to go back and read the thread over because i didnt even know you asked a question, i guess you arnt as important that nobody will anwer your question. and like stated before is it that hard to pick up a phone and call or even better i wouldnt be surprized if abasin had a website, that just maybe has some pictures and possibly current condistions, just my guess

ok here is your answer. yes i have been to a basin. i dont know if they have rails but chances are they do. but who really cares about rails because the all mountain skiing is 10x better. and yes it is definatly worth going

no, they don't have rails set up yet. you can see them up by the bbq place on the lift and they do have a new one or two.
