Abasin vs. Loveland?

So I'm going up to one of the two either tommorow or thursday... I was wondering which would one be a better choice? as in terms of rails/features? how many will abasin have? loveland? thanks

abasin has a way better rail set up usually, go to loveland if you want to take runs, it's less crowded, but abasin if you want to hike rails.

really? who has more rails usually? cause i know abasin only had two last year and loveland seemed to have more... im not that great so i dont really care if the rails are easy

loveland doesn't know how to set them up...so they're janky. abasin had 3 two years ago, and took a couple days to setup the c-box last year.

abasin is usually crowded but its really fun and theres some good boxes/rails up. its almost worth it to just hike up if you dont have a pass.

Abasin always have better rails up and there set up better, loveland has shit but they are always set up really really bad!!

Lovelands death ribbon is twice the vertical with much better quality snow and few people, but A-basin will have 70,0000.,00000,0000 people and like 3 rails with 500000000 kids hiking them. So, the clear choice is A-basin. ;)

Glad I saw this thread. I'm flying to Colorado tomorrow to visit family in Boulder, but now I'm gonna be bringing my skis with me! Looks like I'm gonna be able to rent a car at the Denver airport tomorrow morning when my plane lands and shoot up to the slopes. I'm thinking Loveland is the place to be, since I suck at rails and hate lift lines.

Question: what lift(s) are running at Loveland? I saw they have a cheap "chair 7 only" lift ticket for $20, so I'm wondering if it's really gonna be that cheap.

they only have chair 1 running. I remember i went early season last year and it was only like 20 something dollars. I'd check their website though

I'll be up at Loveland tomorrow too. The lift tickets are $44 and they have Chair 1 open. I have a coupon for a $20 lift ticket that i can give you if your going to be up there tomorrow. PM and ill leave it on the windshield of my car so you can grab it

I drove to abasin saw the ZOO, kept drivin to loveland....When i got there It was awsome NO lift line, hot laps, two feature a flat rail and flat box with lips to the top but still really fun....great first day of skiing woohooo

and the flat down is uber steep, it's not the flat down but the A frame set up as a flat down. pretty fun tho. a bit diff. but fun.

Loveland had a flat bar and box set up. Not the best nor like A-Bay... but I could ski right onto the lift. No waiting for 40min to get on or dodging thousands of people just to make three turns.

yeah loveland defnitely had a longer run and wayyy shorter lines. and the snow was ok, no rocks or anything, solid coverage all the way down... I would say the bar is actually more of a mellow down bar, and i actually thought it was setup pretty good. the flat box was pretty normal except the lip sucked, although a guy came out to fix it right as I left.

a basin was dope today (thursday) barely a lift line to speak of most of the day, a lot less kids in the park too.
