A year ban....????

A brief little stint in a video that's had 300 views is not enough of a warning. One of my buddies got his pass pulled for ollie'ing over a slow sign. Think he saw the video? Not till I showed him the night after.

eh well, i feel he could debate the pass pulling but it'd do no good. they do tell you everything you need to know about what you can and cannot do (information is provided when you buy the ticket, on their site and possibly other places such as trail maps), but it is up to you to read up on where you're riding. it doesn't seem completely fair but in the eyes of the law, it is cut and dry.

Actually, this was a newly brought in rule to whislter for the remaining week of operations im pretty sure. Apeareantly there had been a bunch of people jibbing signs so they raised the punishment. I'm pretty sure if everyone knew that it was a year penalty they wouldnt do it. Mypoint is that most of the time people dont expect such a sevre consequence, and now a rule they are unaware of fucks them off the mountain for 1 year.

God damn you are full of useless posts today. Read the thread and every post in it you dumbfuck, I don't think you understand the situation. This ban was put in place with minimal public knowledge and is being carried out to the full extent. You're retarded if you think that's fair.

i cant believe you or anyone else was naive enough to think that jumping over/jibbing slow signs was just fine with ski patrol....

I agree. There still should be a punishment, it just should be less. I'm pretty sure everyone that's posted agrees too.See, when ns'ers agree, its in a rowdier fashion that usually involves meaningless bickering. But at the end of the internet day, we're all brothers

well if your read your lift ticket or season pass paperwork you will find that most resorts uphold the ability to pull your pass for any reason deemed necessary
for instance i work on park and pipe - we have signs with the rules on them- to replace a broken sign for us costs around 125 dollars- and we go through about 4 a year- and thats park and pipe alone- now imagine the whole damn resort- i will be conservative and say around 1200 a year in new signs- all due to some dumb asses running into the signs on purpose-
and with the economy in a shitter this winter every resort is looking to save money-
so they impose a ridiculous ban- and that makes sure that dumbasses learn real quick be it by story or by personal experience not to fuck with shit that isnt theirs
if i walked into best buy and punched a computer monitor wouldnt you think it be fair that i be kicked out of the store?-
so in conclusion- stop being dumbasses and jibbing signs-

On one hand, it's a harsh punishment - a month ban might do it. But on the other hand, for those of you who know about it, who is going to "risk" it now?

Harsh punishment is a great deterrent, even if it's OTT.

Only question is, to be "fair", they need to ensure all the jibbers know about it.

But then again, jib in the park, or off natural features - trying to show off jibbing slow signs is gay.
