A turn off from skiing

Well, we are for the most part wanting to push the sport, right??? I've always told beginers to go to NS to get some good information. I'm starting to wonder if it may only turn them off from the sport. Considering what the site is becoming. There's simply no need for all the shit talking. What about the dedication to skiing. Hopefully it will all change when the snow flys and everyone can ski again. How does everyone else feeel?????

 
I don't know. This is probably the worst I have seen it, but I've only been here for a year. I think the lack of snow has put a lot of people in a 'skiing-withdrawl-come-on-ns-and-flame-as-many-people-as-possible' type of mood. Its sad to see, but hopefully things will be better when the snow falls.

I feel bad for people who don't drink, cause when they wake up in the morning, thats the best the're going to feel all day

The shit-talking on the site escalates every Fall. It's inevitable. Some people start getting snow, others want to ski real bad but can't. Everyone is at their worst I find.

It'll get better once everyone starts skiing again.

Its just different now. I used to be able to ask how to do a trick, and i would get 70-80% good answers...

Now anyone would be lucky to get 10%.

But the rest of it, the cultural aspect has really taken off. It's good to meet other people in your region, and cool to learn about new music and film, and art. And you get to find out all the ins and outs of whats happenning in the ski world.

So I like it now more than ever.

i couldnt agree with you more phreak. thereneeds to be some sort of regualtion. ive been here for less than a year and i always get upset when i go into a post and she nothing but bull shit. but i guess the lack of snow affects everyone

Not being able to speak is not the same as not speaking. You seem as if you like to talk. I like to let people talk who like to talk. It makes it easier to find out how full of shit they are.
