Hey, I live in Whistler and im looking for a true one ski quiver i wiegh 120 pounds and 5 kgs and am 167 cm tall 5.5 feet. (I dont mind riding a bigger ski than me). I'm pretty good in pow and big mountain but i aint that god in the park i wanna get better though.

Im looking for a ski thats great in pow good in park and not shocking for big mountain.

please don suggest for me to buy a line anthem because it isnt anywhere near good enough in powder!

Which ski should i get?

P.s i would appreciate suggestions of skis that are coming out next year!

Thanks

hey bro ive heard pretty good things about the line prophet, and id get it in a 100, since you wanted something a bit more pow oriented than anthems.

And if your thinking about a binding id go with the griffon its light, good for pow, and its reccomended for people about your size

good luck

blends, elizabeth, kung fujas, s5. all of those are good for pow and I have heard decent things about them in the park. I demoed the s5 last year and it was so sick everywhere.

Indeed, and whats better, the 172 SFBs that come out next year might be a better bet depnding on how much you're growing. Thank you for a workable description of what you're after.

Bacons if you're good with a ski in a 182. Lizzies if you're not.
Or like the guy above me said, they're making bacons in different lengths next season, so if you're waiting till then you could get some shorter ones. I think a 182 for someone 5'6 is a little bit big personally...

Lizzies but idk much about them and how they float in powder and how light they are in the park

Line Elizebeths seem like a logical choice. They are designed for the park, but since they are 110 underfoot, it would seem that they would float quite well in pow. I have also heard they are super light, so that would help for spinning and tricks.

everyone suggests the lizzie but isnt it just a pure pow and park ski? what about its virsitily in big mountain and groomers ect?

hey my brother works at prior skis they make a sick on quiver "prior original" ive never read a bad review on them.

the bacons are going to be available in a 172 for next season if you think the 182 is going to be too much. i would say that the bacon would be the perfect one ski quiv for you. they are so much fun. especially if you're a bit smaller.

ARMADA ARV. such a great ski for everything especially if you wanna learn park. Good luck with the search!

Bluehouse MR 179

125-93-120

perfect EVERYWHERE!!!

i ski half day park/all mountain on these and 1/2 day on loveland pass

this is one ski you can do it with

bacons are great all over the mountain. also look into lizzies. but, lots of people ski bents all over the place. i don't really know though
you could get a powder ski (like the ones i mentioned) and ski it all over, or you could get an all mountain ski (and ski it in pow). so, if you don't plan on hitting the black park any time soon, go for the powder oriented skis

personally, i think this years arvs suck. they're heavy, bland and shitty in general. on the other hand, ar6s are amazing, just not what you're looking for exactly

S5s might be a little too stiff for you, considering size, weight etc etc. They're a burly ski and alot of effort to ride, and I've got 3 inches and 30 pounds on you. I would check out the review section on freeskier.com, that should help you out. You could probably go with the Bacons, I've heard they're a rad ski but I don't know about their park usability. You could get Zeroes, they'll probably slay pow, they do have the width, but considering they're mounted center could be a little weird for big mountain.

JJs would seem like a good choice but I don't know too much about them.

Probably Obsethed is the best bet. Bacon or Lizzie will suck balls when you get heavy manky snow (you are at Whistler) and will flop around when you are going fast over chunder. Obsethed is good enough in the park, and really, if you decide to get more into park just buy a previous year park ski new from Tramdock/Coreupt etc. for $200 when they come up. Probably 169 in Obsethed is a good bet, 179 if you are a badass.

Considering your height and weight, Line Elizabeth, Line Blend, and K2 Obsethed would all be decent choices, read reviews on them, I think they would all be good in park, but if you want something leaning more towards pow, the obsethed would be better due to the slight rocker.

My recommendation is the Line Blend, they are solid, wide, great on edge, and will float fairly nice too.

k2 kung fujas or line elizabeths!!

elizabeths are wider (139/110/137) and they float nicely but they also have a really nice sidecut so they rip well on groomers, a bit softer so they kinda suck on ice but all around really fun ski! careful on the topsheet though, it scratches and chips really really easily... but thats only a cosmetic issue.

kung fujas ive heard nothing but good things about too, apparently its the 'perfect resort ski'?

Everyone is saying lizzies or bacons, but I feel that those would be too soft for more variable snow conditions, even though you are a small guy. I would go for something stiffer than those.

I have the k2 seths from 2 years ago (the year before obseths). I ski them everywhere from pow to park to crud and they do great everywhere. I mounted them at reccomended and I feel that I am too far in the back seat for doing crazy things in the park, but I can still hold my own. A bit farther forward would also let me ski more agressively everywhere.

If I were you I would go with the new obsetheds in 169 legnth, mounted +3 or 4 from reccomended. They are a bit fatter and have more rocker than the ones I have, but as long as you charge hard they shouldnt be any trouble at all. I have seen many people this year skiing them really hard everywhere, check out the montage inc edits, one of those guys has them. In my mind the extra width and rocker make them the ultimate one ski quiver.

Lizzies are not ski-able out of tha park, but they are mad fun. Shouldn't even be a consideration.

I think tha helix and Hazmat are true one ski quivers, Hazmat better in park, But you can seriously do anything with Helix, an their mad light.

i think what ur looking for is the shorter bacon or the lizzy. also, the bents ave been metioned here, and that would be another good option. if your just getting into park tho, your going to need to be able to commit to trying new tricks off bigger jumps thatn u would usually need cuz their, obviously with thier weight, harder to spin with. also look at the /obsetheds if you dont want something so big.
