A ski movie premier at Adirondack Community College

im working on showing a movie at ACC (probably Head For the Hills) and just wanted to know who would go to it. i want to get a ton of people there and give out a ton of swag and also have to decide on ticket price. proceeds would go to the ski and board club. if anyone has suggestions, tips, ideas for hosting a good premier shoot me a pm.
 
you should look into true story too, a moive filmed almost completly at whiteface and other ec mountains as an intro to head for the hills, pm me if you want more info about it
 
ok guys the movie planning is coming along but is still being tweaked on paper. the movie filmed in whiteface would be a great thing to show before the movie as people arrive. i will take any help i can get, im trying to get everything ready for a late october/ mid november show and i am still waiting to hear from the meatheads. glad everyone is stoked and ready for the season.
 
i'd be down and i now about 20 other kids who would be too.. idk if you heard about the reasons premier at west, but it had a pretty good turn out, right around 100 people there.
 
yeh i was at he west premier, that was a good little set up. thanks for spreading the word. right now i jst have to present the plan to the student activities board and figure out the small details. plan on late october early november
 
So i was talking to the guy who made true story and he said that he would be 100% down for going down there and setting up a little booth and playing our premier pm me or Papacraig for details
 
Hell yes i would be down. I should be revecing True Story this friday from the printers (fingers crossed). But just give me details on where and when this would be and we will come down and set up.
 
are you somehow related to he people who made head for the hills? cause i heard turbo was fucking awesome, and i wanna see it. haha

but either way, a ski premier would bedope.
 
after all teh sick things i heard about turbo, thats got my vote for sure. but any would be sick especially with some free schwag
 
I havent seen TURBO yet but i did see head for the hills. It was an awesome movie to watch verry creative and the urban is difrent from anything i have ever seen.
 
Dude, there is no ski club..

ok for those who are going to acc and want more info on the ski and snowboard club and getting the movie here, there is an interest meeting at 12 on monday in the gym.
 
ok one month later, heres what the deal is concerning the movie premier. After much paper work and meetings the acc ski club has not become "official" (student senate kinda messed a few things up, nothing that could be done about it). Tenative date is looking like dec. 5th or 6th for slamina and true story. Hopefully this will be the first of many successful events to be put on by the acc ski and snowboard club. Next update will be on this wednesday and i hope to have official/ concrete details for everyone interested.
