A ski for everything (powder to park)

Im looking for a ski to do everything from powder to park.But I'm kindfa limited on brands which sucks. I work at the local outdoor shop but the guys don't know jack about twin tips. I was looking at the Seth Pistols but didn't know how they did on groomers. I am looking for a fairly soft ski but not a noodle. My shop carries Salomon, K2, Atomic, Head, Volkl, Dynastar, Rossignol, but doesn't carry Line or Armada or any of the other specialized ski companies. I would prefer to stick to the companies that my shop carries cause I can pro form them. And I have done a search which helped a little but not much.

 
if u want to do more powder than park,, look at the pocket rockets, or the mad trix mojo,, but if u want more park,,, than just a normal twin tip should be good,,,

I have the PE's and love them for park and are great on groomers, and have been using them this week in over 7 feet of powder and they well. You do get a little tired in powder but they are only 80cm at the waist so what can you expect. I have heard nothing but good about the seth pistols though, and the madtrix are nice they are wider then the PE's and if you want wider there is also the madtrix mojo.

if your shop carried line id say the mike nicks, skogan's, or mothership flites, but since they dont id say vokll karma's

I think I'm gonna go with the Seth Pistols for a couple of reasons

1. They are good in the powder

2. They are suposed to be pretty good on groomers

3. They pretty wide which makes for really stable landing

4. They fricken awsome looking

What bindings would you suggest. I was looking at either the p12 or p10, or the salomon 912 ti.

 
Is price a factor? because that could limit you pe's and fujatives are dirt cheap. but you would not want fujatives too soft.

yeah do something along the lines of scratch bc, seth pistol, volkl karma, armada arv, line pollard pro, or 4frnt msp. a twin with a waist of 85 to 90 mm will do everything.

Volkl karma's a pretty similar to the pistols. I personally would prefer the karma's but I'm into volkls so I dunno. I think K2 probably has the best deal for 'proform'.

 
the arvs they are a lot like the shape of the bc but stiffer and a lil wider in the front get them they are sweet

 
if u have to chose between those brands then get volkl karmas, they are sick for everything, pipe park and pow, but if u can get 4 frnt msps then i recomend those

well as you can see, we all have our personal favorites. basically if you buy a ski from any one of those companies you can get a great all around ski. If you want powder stick with something over a 90mm waist. Personally im not a fan of the pocket rocket. The seth pistol is a great powder ski and great in the park but is a little soft when it comes to groomers.

Like what the guys at the shops say, no matter what you get it will probably be much better then what your riding right now. I would get a sik with a waist thats 80-90cm. bigger then 90cm is unnecessary in powder unless it is really dry deep powder, not like what cali or the east coast gets.

I would go for an independent company, deffidentaly have a serious look at liberty skis.

Crystal-needs...I know cali gets powder, I live there and got to ski over 80 inches of powder yesterday, it's just not dry powder that you need a fat ski in, i use PE's with no problems. We dont get powder in Cali, we get what we call 'Sierra cement', because it is heavy, wet snow.
