held up some binoculars and shot through them. came out really cool IMO

i shoot with a D60 and a 18-105mm lens. waiting to upgrade my body and buy a lens or two when the replacement for the D90 comes out.

some critique would be great. i've been a bit bored lately so any suggestions to better my photography or on what to shoot would be great. i enjoy taking pictures of pretty much everything.

and i take a lot of pics of flowers because my mom is a florist/landscaper and my yard is pretty full of flowers haha

I'm just going to throw it out there that the way the light hit him and tan lines etc.. def. looks like he has legit boobs.
Not man boobs, but boob boobs.

I was about to post the same thing, Jordan. I shot a self portrait sort of like this last year and it came out pretty cool.

On your flickr I liked Winter Stream #3, among a few others, but that one stood out to me more than did the rest.

I am a big fan of this shot too - I think I voted for it for one of the contests on Media and Arts

I really like the composition of your portraits especially the "libby" one, I cant say anything negative about the photos themselves but it seem you shoot at some of the same places a lot, maybe do a little more exploring and see what you can get. Great work though

thanks dawg. i'd love to shoot some stuff in the city but i live in vt hahaa. i might try and mess around in the kitchen a bit with food dye or something today.

thanks dewds

southern vt is pretty city-less. rutvegas, the brattlebronks and bennington aren't really what i have in mind haha.

I dunno, after spending a year in Burlington I still think of it as a town. But nevertheless it is a more populated area than most other places in Vermont.

BUMP

took some pics recently that i think came out pretty well

check out my flickr if you have a moment. thanks!

i did something similar to that for a final image in my high school photo course. had a girl hold up the lens to her slr so the landscape flipped in the lens and that was the one thing in focus.

really want to retake that shot now, 2 years later. the film was scratched in the process and my touch up skills werent great. as well as the lighting being too bright and not having the right contrast...

love the shot of the wind chimes, commented on it when I saw it on the ns flikr group page

Cole! I really like your photos...following you on flickr.

One recommendation! Get some more interesting/different subjects. You got the skill! It will make you stand out from the "walk around my town taking photos" crowd.

My top 3 subjects from this summer...

Anything Pittsburgh Penguin related I can shoot, regardless of the photo.

Pittsburgh Marathon

Urban HDR's

Once i stopped shooting "generic" shots that everyone has seen before, i started getting published & credentials.

Thanks dawg!

i would love to get some more pics of an urban area or a city but it's tough where i'm living. there really isn't much to shoot around me besides nature and skiing but i hope to shoot some urban stuff while i'm in CO for the next few weeks.

but thanks for the input dood. much appreciated

anytime man! Once ski season starts you will have PLENTY to shoot anyway.

Weird thought but, ever thought about setting up a blind and shooting wildlife? or maybe scenic large landscape stuff, like hiking some peaks and shooting?

Try to take advantage of your location, i wish i could photograph the wildlife/scenery you guys get up there! Enjoy it

i've never tried shooting wildlife but thanks for the idea.

and yeah i've taken a couple mountain-top panoramas but when i switched to lightroom they got deleted before i uploaded them to flickr but yeah thanks for the suggestions i'll definitely give them a try. and once my D7000, 50mm and sb-700 come i'll definitely got started on taking some portraits but until then i'll try and get some urban shots while i'm in CO

check out the new shots! been taking some pics around vail and i think i got a couple good ones. should get some more while i'm down in boulder this weekend. critique emmm
