depends on whats under the ski. pow will be slower than ice or hardpack.

The only ski I've ever heard anyone complain about being "slow" were the Gotamas. OR as he called them the "Slowtamas"

only as fast as the skier...no twin tips are "fast" they are park/pow skis ment for that....i have strgt lined chimney sweep at squaw on my pistols (65++mph) is that fast? then again i raced for Boulder in the speed disciplines dh/sg is that fast? then again the current speed record is over 151mph is that fast?

i'd be happy with 50. I just moved out to the midwest so i'd probably be alot of ice but i'm only here for two seasons then Im in the west and I'm goin to visit washington and utah both seasons for a week or so

The 03 pistols will be a bit faster than the last couple years because the base is mostly black, which is faster. Also the Seth Vicious has more black.

But who cares about a couple MPH, you won't be going 74 MPH in the pow or in the park so it doesn't really matter.

I really hope you're kidding cause if not, dipshit is an understatement for you buddy. Why would a black base be any faster than a red, yellow, blue, or white base??? Color has nothing to do with how fast your skis will go. It's the amount of wax there is and how heavy the ski is. The ability and weight of the skier plays a big part too.

Actually, before having a go at someone else...it was commonly thought that one was faster than the other.

They're two different materials. Some techs would recognise that you can feel a difference as well, with clear bases being softer when working on them.

I would think that Seths skis even though the top sheet is the same as the skis of the racks at a ski shop are different and custom made for him.

yeah. it's his pro-model. those are the skis that are custom made for him with those top sheets, and we mortals are lucky enough to get the chance to ski the same skis as him.
