A Quick Question About the Caylors...

With such a wide, fat tip, will the tip rings of any skins actually fit over the tip, say i were to use them for minimal amounts of touring?

+karma for help or any recommended skins on that note. haha. :)

Wish I could give you info, but skins are on my to buy list as well and will be going on Caylors. Either way, the most epic pow ski.

the regular loops will probably fit, they fit my hellbents. Or you could just sand down your tips a little like I did to get them to fit.

I was thinking dukes for simplicity's sake and for not having to lug around trekkers in the pack on the way down, (not that they're THAT much of a pain but still)

I do want to use these as my pow booter ski, and i've heard about problems with the dukes landing switch in pow, but I think I'm willing to risk it haha.

Trekkers are scariest on the way up, they make any gnarly section of ascent even sketchier cause you're like a foot off the ski. Love having my regular downhill skis when I get to the top tho.

Bahaha^^^I've heard some say that trekkers are okay, and many more say that trekkers aren't worth my time or money.

The real problem is that i need a pow booter ski, and a touring ski, but i will only have money for one pair of skis...

hence the reason why i have compromised with dukes and caylors (or at least that's the plan right now). If anyone has any better ideas i would be happy to hear it haha.

+ K for the help

yeah, anything other than mellow skin tracks suck on trekkers. I use them because I dont do much touring other than a little slackcountry and shredding the ski hill before and after it's closed, and I tend to break bindings. If you are smaller, landing switch (smoothly) should be ok on dukes. i know that Drail on here uses them everyday, and he definitely lands switch on his.
