how much time do you guys spend a day playing your axe?i have heard of some people playing up to 8 hours a day...

when i get into it, like 3 or 4, but i take breaks for a few days at a time. i just got an acoustic on ebay for $.99 thats a fuckin deal but its probably a piece of shit whatever i'll find out soon enough

6+ hours a day easily. whenever i'm in my room i have my guitar and i'm playing it and i'm always in my room when i'm home.

I am offended sir! actually I am really into guitar and I play shit like The Mars Volta and Zeppelin and I write my own shit so don't you be taking me for some middle school punk who bought an electric guitar and plays nothing but MTV songs to be cool. Dat shit is unprogressive. I just play when Im bored cause...well you know. Sometimes you're amped to play electric, or sometimes you're amped to play acoustic. Latley I've been amped to play electric but my electric guitar is at my mom's house and Im always busy while Im there so all I really get to play for now is acoustic.

I'm actually playing my guitar right now. A minimum for me is about 3 hours, and if I'm jamming with friends, or have nothing to do, I'll go for 8 hours.

^exactly the same with me. back when I posted my first comment a few days ago I wasn't really amped to play. But now I've picked up "Space Oddity" by David Bowie and just playing his stuff while singing while no one is around.

i just play a little its kinda just something to do when i get bored so usually like 1/2 an hour to the max of 2 hours a day

yeah except Epiphone has nicer wood materials and such, while Gibson has nicer inner materials and such, thus giving Gibsons a better tone, but not much. They are both very sick though.

well put....and also gibsons are 100% hand made...however epiphone are only aout 85%...so there is more of a mechanical error with epiphones due to the fact that machiones have assembled most of the guitar...i absolutley love epiphones though

me probably bout an hour a day.. sometimes i wont even play in a day. and sometimes ill play for like 5 hours in one day. depends on my mood. Me im personally all about Ibanez and ESP guitars. I bought an Ibanez RGT42 DX a couple of days ago. LOVE IT.

yeah me too...ive got and ibanez rg350dx and S470 and ESP EC 400.....i use the rg mostly for techy playing, such as steve vai or joe satriani...ESP for more hardcore stuff.

at the minimum of4 hours combined. Im always playin my guitar when im home. When im not home and i dont have a guitar i find myself getting sooo bored

dont play with axe's they are very sharp..unless your a tree then play with them.. i have band practicee like every other day now and thats like 3 hours of actual playing..and i had a show an hour ago which was another half hour..out of house

 
you play drop c? that must sound like shit...the lowest i go is drop d and down 1.5 steps

yeah i play alot in drop C aswell..its sounds awsome..get like 10-12 gauge strings and it feels pretty normal.

im usually at half a step down cause a bunch like hendrix and i think clapton played usually at that, it also allows for easier bending than regular tuning

I play 3 or so hours a day, but my Taylor is coming this week, so that'll go up by ALOT once I get that. The 6 string, standard tuning. The 12 string, drop D tuning.

The Epiphone Les Paul Goth, is such a sweet guitar, this guy I know has one, it has the deadlyest sound.

I actualy play a lot of guitar, kinda take a bit more seriously then before. Into making playing heavier shit in drop c, jam with buddies. I jam around with a buddy on drums too and hoping to get a band going soon.
