I've looked through a few threads that i could find on skier cross and there aren't a lot of posts.

What do you think of skier x? Is in an actual sport that can be really considered extreme or is it just antoher event were people wear spandex and rub each other?

I personally think that skier x is one of the hardest aspects of skiing that isn't shown in a poisitive light, because of the association that it has with racing.

there is DEFINITELY a biased opinion here..

if you posted that at epicski you would get a way different response.

skier x is a lot harder the normal downhill racing cuz you actualy have to have skill with pumping and jumping, as to regular downhill you realy only pump. i think it is underrated becasue it takes balls to fly off of some of those jumps going that speed and you are just wearing spandex.

i think it's a great sport and it should get more recognition, because you have to be afraid to not push someone out of way. and go off some pretty big jumps while hauling ass. if you think it's pussy shit, i'd like to see you ass out there doing half the things there doing. you'll get your ass whipped.

Skiercross has a lot of potential to attract non-skiing audiences.

By that I mean that if NASCAR is the most watched "sport" in the US, then all of those non-skiing hillbillies will be able to relate to, and understand, a skiercross race more than watching any other type of skiing. They might actually want to watch it on tv.

That's why it got in the Olympics, and it will probably be a hit in that respect.

The interesting question, now that it has become Olympic, is, will the really good racers do it now to win another medal?

Skiercross is now (mostly) ex-racers, many of whom couldn't quite make it to the top in World Cup racing, if a top tier World Cup ski racer like Hermann Maier entered a ski-x, he would probably absolutely destroy everyone. For someone like that, the potential to win another Olympic medal could be pretty tempting.

its neet.

but its just more racing.

its a portion opf our sportt hat shoulda been around a long time ago. but it wasnt.

the sport has passed itself by.

racing your friends is super fun, and its pretty crazy that they do that stuff, but i definitely wouldnt go watch a race like i might go watch a pipe comp or something

ok i agree with tanner hall on this one...

Quote by Tanner Hall[/b][/b]: "All they do is ski down one icy

(expletive deleted) run," "Put me in a downhill and I might not go as

fast as Bode Miller[/b][/b], but I'll make it to the bottom. Put any of those racers in

the pipe and they won't even go."

It looks super fun, we had a really small course at my hill but i did a couple one on ones on it on my twins and i would love to get my race skis out and tuned real nice and actually race on a good course....i think it would be crazy
