alright retards, i've got the panaroma of the general field. as you can CLEARLY SEE, the fence is still there. the wind was blowing hard that day which explains why the fire spread so far. and wet grass explains why the paths are still green.

seems alot of people dont know much about a grass fire. while they burn and spread quite fast, burning grass does not generate enough heat to burn things like sticks, trees and healthy brush and grass. now this is talking short, dry grass just like that seen in the pictures, if it was long weeds and brush then thats a whole nother story.

It's called wind you dumb shit. Fire can be carried by the wind and jump those paths. Look at a much larger case such as the Yellowstone fires. With strong enough wind, the fire jumped a fucking canyon.

I think I may have to side with apple on this one. If you can explain to me (maybe you already did and I missed it) why in the second picture there is a small fire burning (presumably the slightly larger version of the first fire) with a large area of already burned ground in the foreground of the picture, Ill believe you.

And JD May, I expected better out of you. The panoramic picture proves nothing, except maybe apples point. Heres my theory: asac and a friend see the large area of burned ground, decide to take credit for it. Why else would they be taking pictures of the fire in the first place? "Well, we started this fire, good thing I have my camera with me. Well, lets get back to skating, I assume everything here will be wrapped up nicely once were gone"

In fact, if you look at the panoramic shot, you can even see where they started their smaller fire to take credit for the whole deal. Look at the farthest right edge of the burned area in the panoramic shot, and youll find a small burned area with trees matching those in the background of the second shot.

i totally beleive it. a couple years back a few of my friends and i were fuckin around just like that, lithging random patches of dry brush on fire. about 15 mins into it the wind decided to pick up really fast.

when the fire department showed up the entire feild was onfire and scorched and about 25 yards from a development of houses and i ended up with all my leg hairs gone and second degree burns on parts of my legs from trying to put it out. mean while my 2 friends that started the thing ran away and started flipping out and crying to their parents. i took the blame for both of them (havent talked to them since) and had to go to this farmer guys house and apologize. the guy turned out to be pretty happy about it cuz he said it would make his crops grow alot better
