A program to create your own beats?

i got this Mgaix Music Studio for free at comp usa like two years ago, and it's pretty cool. i was gonna teach myself how to use it last summer but i didn't. i've heard though that sony acid music studio is pretty good, but i think that's for like pros. there's a few other programs you can d-load if u wanna just play around, but if you're serious and actually wanna start recording, i'd do some research

I'm just playing around trying to find out whats out there and little things like that just basic bordem.

aright well i downloaded a program a while ago just to play around on and it was prety good. had a good mix of drum kits and other instruments and stuff. i'll try to find it and post a link

if you just want something really simple to mess around on, not any professional use, just check out garage band. If you're looking to be somewhat serious with it, look into Reason. It's kind of expensive but it's sweet if you're not actually recording things yourself.

ok well here's a link to the top rated programs on cnet. i'm pretty sure i downloaded the first one and it was pretty good to fool around with. most of them are free downloads, or free to try and then buy

yea just any one of those you think u would like. they each have a description and reviews about how they work

now that i'm thinking about it, anyone know what happened to GhostDragon. i remember he put up a sample of some of his stuff and it was insane. haven't sen him in months though, and i can't find his myspace

i think fruity loops is pretty easy to get started on too......after that Reason is good. Sony Acid is a little bit different than that...I use it to record instrumetns and makes songs....Fruity loops is more sample based and comes with samples so you don't need any hardware.

But these are the programs I use to make music, they all do different things.

Cakewalk

Sony Sound Forge

Sony Acid 6.0

Fruity Loops Producer Edition

Reason

Apleton Live

A Vocoder

I really like Garage Band, but my keyboard is laggy. And I don't feel like dropping money on an actual musical keyboard.

so i went and downloaded the sony acid......i couldnt figure it out worth shit. witch one is the easiest haha, im lame i apologize

ProTools Logic...cut, copy, paste...quantized solos and quantized bass...

Signed, sealed, delivered and sent, across the U.S. and the single went...

^What is that song?

that would be singing emo by mc lars

CRY TONITE, MY HEART IN YOUR HANDS AND I CRYYYYYYYYYY TONITEE!!!!

good song ima fan of MC Lars he has really good stuff

Yeah I use Acid Pro 5 and its great. I dont get the loops though. I got Virtual DJ and I just loop what I want from what song I want, tweak it a little, and if I like it record it into a file and put the file onto Acid
