A place to camp in michigan

im looking for a good place to camp in michigan.i was thinking sleeping bear dunes but i am open for other suggestions with the relatively same distance from detroit (5,6 hrs.) ?

sleeping bear is gonna be packed, try goin over to the thumb side, or better yet, just head over to canada and drive up the bruce peninsula to tobermory, its about a six hour drive ( lived right outside detroit in rochester hills) i went there almost every summer, tons of fun, especially if you like to fish

Sleeping bear dunes is a beautiful area, but if you're willing to spend an extra few hours in a car taquamanon falls in the up is most tranquil
