A photo a day.

Hello M&A,

After my last attempt to find something to do, i failed miserably. I was trying to film (mainly static shots) on my injured knee and reality said no. (i was filming in a factory, not skiing or anything silly.)

So, after deciding that video work is a wee bit too dynamic for how mobile i am at the moment (on crutches and not moving very fast) i have decided that to keep myself from losing it to boredom that a small creative thing a day will keep me sane, and maybe teach me a thing or two.

I have never really delved into photography too deep, but its far more accessible for me now. So I have started a photo-a-day challenge to myself. To hopefully keep the creative fluids flowing and i might learn a thing or two along the way.

Im taking on a small challenge each day, something technical. (not "take a photo of your breakfast" instagram photo-a-day shit.) in each of the challenges subject matter is not important (yes, really) the challenge answer will be my interpretation of what your photographic challenge is.

Im offering this space for suggestions of daily challenges.

Also if anyone else wanted to join me in this quest, by all means join in, i would love to see others interpretations of the challenges.

INB4 "take a photo of your breakfast"

borderline creepy, but try and take a picture of someone who is totally not paying attention to anything. you know, those guys/gals who walk down the street, sunglasses on, bluetooth in ear, ipod blasting, suitcase/shopping bag in hand, yapping away on their phone. or one of those teens on their iphones texting and listening to music. (im guilty) shouldnt be hard to find, these people are verywhere these days...good luck on the recovery! hopefully ill get some more ideas haha

Not shooting you down, but thats still subject matter, i think that a more general "long exposure photograph" or "landscape shot" challenges gives me a bigger degree of creative freedom, so this particular set of challenges can be interpreted by anyone in any environment. if that makes sense?

total instagram bullshit, but i'm totally in that photo-a-day type deal because i'm always uploading to IG. just take pictures of anything that strikes your eye, get creative, and by no means be shy in exploring possibilities in post. lately i've been really into doing low contrast black and white shots like this one i took:
