During my tenure here on NS I have been a part of quite a few transactions, I have always used paypal wether I was buying or selling the item.

More to the point, in a vast majority of these transactions, paypal fees were incurred. I am here to tell you, YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY THESE FEES. When you are sending a payment simply select "payment owed" this will bypass all fees.

I'm sure this is not news to much of NS, but many members are not aware of it.

do you knwo what is not good to know: I wasted my finals studying time on this site becasue of how god damn addicting it is. I think i am going to leave and not come back till the 17th. GOOD BYE NS until the 17th
 
bypass fees on both ends? even when using a debit card? if so good to know.
 
It's set up for situations where say parents need to transfer money to a kid at college, so yeah no fees on either end. Not positive about using a debit card.
 
you know what sucks though? no insurance.
if you're sending money to your brother thats great, but if you're buying skis off some kid on newschoolers just pay the fee so when you get scammed you can get the money back.
 
or you can send it as a gift. problem with that is if you pay via credit or debit you have to eat the fees but if it comes out of your balance nobody has to pay fees
