A note to anyone heading to Marquette Mtn., MI

Yes, I know that hill is in Michigan and that state is not in this forum, but I wanted to let everyone know this information.

A friend and I made the hike up there, and found out that we needed a Park Pass. This pass is good all year once you get it, and IT'S FREE. The way you get the pass is you need to watch a video at ski school, and the video is on park safety and how you need to start small yada yada yada. They told us the video was 7 minutes but it was more like 15. Still not that big of a deal or a huge amount of time.

I'm not complaining about the video or anything, and I like the idea that they make you get a park pass. (and they enforced it. I saw them kick a few guys out of the big park for not having one.) I also know that this isn't a Michigan forum, but I know a lot of people from out of state go there because there park IS rockin! Just wanted to let everyone know that if you go there, better give yourself a few extra minutes in the morning.
 
Although I have no intention of going up there, I'm glad to hear that. I wish EVERY park needed a park pass. Maybe some of these retarded lawsuits (Kenny Salvini) wouldn't be happening.
 
such a good idea, plus they should make you hit a small flat rail and 10 foot jump to get the pass
 
Thats such a good idea i wish Alpine Valley did that i almost landed on like 10 kids today. Alpine would be smart to do that they wouldnt have as many unneeded injuries that way. Im going up to marquette mtn asap anyone want a ride?
 
im not on park crew, i want to go up to marquette mtn and mt bohemia next week leave sun night ride mon and tues and drive back wednesday your welcome to come if i go
 
MARQUETTE MOUNTAIN PARKS ARE AWESOME this year.....

20+ jumps from 10' to 60'

30+ Rails, Walls, Trees, and Boxes

ANd yes a park Pass, after a kid bout died at SUPERPARK last year it was mandatory, but we have to have it to have GIANT FEATURES for our insurance.... and yes we enforce it, so that little kids aren't under your landings.

The pass is only for the BIG park and the other 3 parks are open to all.

NO Park PASS will be needed to superpark, just your normal lift ticket and Superpark Ticket.... no movie to watch at SUPERHERO PARK
