A new ski game

1. presses2. moar grabz

3. a way to lay out fronts/backs and like bending the guy's knees when he lands.

(these are in order of importance)
 
eh, more grabs are more important than presses, IMO. it would be sick to have the ability to do a truck driver grab while grinding tho. if you want to lay out backs just hold tail grab, it kinda does it, but I agree a way to lay out backs and do superman fronts would be so sick. WE ALSO NEED A HIP
 
presses: could be like mannys and nose mannys, also used to nollie and nose/tail tap. that would be sick.

new grabs: we could have like octos, criticals, true nose, opposite nose, stale fish (not just uncrossed tail maybe?) etc. and also have the ability to grab on a rail with certain grabs (japan could be one footer!)

laying out tricks/tucks: letting go of space/holding it in the air could be a control for it when you're not grabbing. or it could be like shiftys are now. I'd also like to see the headspin thing continue, it looks way better.

also new map is important IMO, it would be sick.
 
very good points also, i like this idea of a hip. I wonder how a spine would work in SS.

ALSO: when shifting on to a rail, being able to land in shifty would be sick, IMO
 
there should be a different type of surface to ride on. powpowpowpowpowpowpow. the guy sinks in when he rides and the steering physics is different. then spines would work
 
yea presses/manuals/nollies/rail taps would be what i want to see the most right now. then some more grabs like a lot of the ones other people have already listed, in particular id like to see a high safety, like the kind you would do in a flat spin instead of a japan.
 
indeed. The weird jump from shifty to the standard rail sliding animation doesnt look smooth either. IMO there should never be that sort of abrupt, glitchy looking movement in a game
 
Rail animations are something I'm going to have to rework. Right now everything just resets as soon as you touch a rail when it should be smooth.
 
well yea critical would be dope too but i was talking about high saftey, meaning grabing left ski with your left hand or right with your right hand further towards the tip than normal, instead of critical which would be grabbing the opposite. either one would be sick though seeing as theyre so similar
 
If you're planning on making a new map do some trees and details.

could u make the side jump into the landing of a hip and then build a jib line that goes left next to the wall/ ridge thing,which should also be removed i think this would be cool cause the park would be longer but also more realistic because it would turn rather than just going strait
 
What about making safety possible on rails?

also liked the dub tail idea, v+f, and octo kan be tail button pluss safety button, etc. !?
 
that already is tweak mute. i like dub grab idea and also grabs on boxes/presses as i said before. i think presses on flat ground/mid air steaks of the skis front to back could be in order.... i dont know
 
bleh looking at many pages i have come to the conclusion that most of Ns want to make this B & E the game. God knows why. keep up the good work im sure you know the best direction for the game
 
after reading all the suggestions on new grabs, i was starting to wonder if you could really fit any more on the controller. one set up that i though might be good, would be to use the 4 buttons on the back(l1,l2,r1,2) to control all of the grabs instead, and then use the right analogue stick on the x axis to control shifties/tweaks, and new tricks added in the future could be controlled on the y axis and diagonal maybe something like nose and tail butters, or an extra way to tweak grabs. im thinking that if you have all 4 buttons to use in combination with each other that opens up a lot more possibilities, and it would be more accurate too. one thing that i find pretty annoying with the current controls is that its quite easy to accidentally grab one grab instead of the other, like safety when your actually going for mute. Mind you i did take this idea from playing ssx way back in the day, but it honestly was always my favourite set up for grabs on a controller
 
Or like skate 3 where r2 was right hand and l2 was left hand, then right analog stick was tweaks. It could be l2/r2 as grabs behind the boot (then tweak) and r1 and l1 for grabs infront of the boot

Yeah, controls similar to skate 3 would be the shit, that game was so easy to do crazy tricks and tweaking was incredible, so many to choose from.
