It looks as though our solar system actually has 10 planets, not 9. Another planet was discovered farther out from the sun than pluto. It is thought to be relatively the same size as pluto (pluto is 2,250 km accross, this is thought to be 2,000 km accross) but could turn out to be bigger. It does have an orbit around the sun. Officially, it's not a planet yet.

its very unlikely that theres any life o planets further from the sun than us, or maybe at the most mars, because its too cold and theres not enough energy for the chemical reactions that cause life to occur

There are various theories as to pluto/charon and they're older than 2 years. One being that pluto escaped orbit from neptune (pluto being a moon of neptune) and found it's own orbit around the sun. This might explain why it's orbit is odd compared to the others. Also theories about pluto/charon and the Kuiper belt. I'm no astronomer so i can't lay anything down.

There is a very high possibility that there is life on europa (one of Jupiters Moons)

The surface is covered in solid ice, but underneath they think that there are liquid water oceans and that they are warm enough for life to thrive

Lat - about there being another earth. All this 'new planet' discussion reminded me.

There is among the scientific community rumored to be another planet in a nearby solar system that is highly likely to be quite similiar to our own home. The planet's name is Tua Ceti. It's sun is of similiar size and is about the same distance from it as well. While we have yet to actually send a satellite to it, the hypothesises and guesswork are pointing towards a high likelyhood that there may indeed be life on Tua Ceti.

Imagine that.

Yeah I heard about that planet too, but its not just as easy as sending a satellite there. It was like 4-8 light years away (I cant remember), plus I believe it was voyager 1 & 2 that both lost contact with us at the edge of our solar system.

I think that there is for sure life somewhere else in this universe.
