A movie premiere

I was wondering of setting up a movie premiere in the fall. However, is there enough following to make it worth while? I'm not talking about making money, but making it a fun event. Of course it would be set up in Halifax somewhere.

if everyone on here got everyone that skis to go and we presold tickets i imagine it would work. it would be dope as fuck.

what we could do, to boost revenue, is to make it some sorta festival, and include snowboarders maybe.

I'd rather just have something that would be pretty simplistic, like just a movie. I don't care too much about cash money but good idea, who would come up?

i'd be there. maybe try and set up a little afterparty/rail jam and the sickest jibberwins 25% of the profits and the other part gets put away for one next time or something.

shit, i movie premiere would be awesome....if there was a little place you could get for parties, bring in a mad TV and wooo...if it was winter, u could setup a jibfest afterwards..sounds good

a local movie drew around 100 to the oxfrod 2 years ago, we may get the same numbers of people if we advertise

 
I wonder if A1 would let us have it in their store up stairs or something, if not perhaps at a university. Renting a place like the Oxford = expensive. Depending on how many people we expect, the venue could vary.

I will be recieving a copy of this year's Focus prior to the public release. A premiere would be cool by Jeffy.

yeah, thor is quite the ruler. that bar in bedford (my hometown) has a projection screen and there is an open area infront of it, plus everyone of legal drinking ages can get hammered. and if anyone absolutely needed a place to stay my house is realativly close.

What bar in bedford is it? The thing about a bar is that you have to pay... and paying isn't cool. I would rather see about having it downtown but give me more info.

i'm also only 17. newschool is a young sport as well, so are most of the ppl that are into it, so a bar isnt the best choice in the world.

Ok, the movie won't be out until the second half of October but I have already been looking into things. Right now, it looks as though the oxford theatre on Quinpool road is the best option. I am currently talking prices with them and dates. I have been talking to a few people about maybe getting some give aways but this would just be gravy. I don't know ticket prices yet but it shouldn't be too bad. I have been off the net for quite some time and only go on occasionally but I should be up and running on Thursday.

The movie is set to be released in the end of october, the 26th I believe. BUT, like any good premiere, it will be before the release date. Probably the first or second weekend in October. Perhaps a Thursday.

are u serious? 38 minutes? Fuck man, msp is usaully like 1 1/2 hours long, this better be damn good.

petek man, MSP is super pro, amazing fimlmer and pros

Focus is Theory3, a little less experienced, and great riders, but not a lot of pros........focus will still be great don't worry
