Really though, it is important to remember what happened, and those people's lives that were changed so abruptly.

The world trade center attack really hits me hard for some reason and i live in canada. Im not one to get upset or sad over events like sept.11, but i can still remember exactly where i was when the first building got hit.

my prayers go out to the families, friends and everyone who has been effected by the disaster

Rest In Peace to all the victims, and good luck to the firefighters, policemen, volunteers, and families who are still suffering the consequences.

happy bday to him. but yeah i remember when i herd bout the towers, it really shook me up. terrible day, makes you hate terrorists

its my birthday today too.

I come home from public school for lunch, at the age of .. well 12 i guess so grade 7, so i was still young and, and my dad is like do you know what is happening? and i said, "yes, world war 3 on my birthday" and i ran upstairs crying. i can remember this vividly. I look back on it now and i would like to share my love to the lost ones and the familys not only now, but from back 5 years ago too.

my mom's aswell, i watched a bunch of documentrys on 9/11 last night, they wre very interesting, the thing that bothers me is that there is somthing being hidden, we're not getting the whole truth.

I wish you would actually be yourself instead of some sort of internet "tough guy". You have some great views, but when you do these thins for attention it just makes you look like an idiot.

Yep, we deserve karma because the U.S was responsible for a deliberate attack killing thousands of innocent civilians. Damn, I'm getting tired of defending America.

No offense but there are a lot worse things that have happened/that are happening than 9/11. Still a sad day though. My principal read some cheesy poem and started crying, and I couldn't help but laughing. Now i have 3 detentions...son of a bitch.

for everyone that has CTV thier going to be showing a special on the 9/11 attack, and playing it as if it had just happened.. i suggest everyone watch it.

I laughed... rip to everyone that lost thier lives in the 9/11 attacks.. I don't care about it very much anymore though. it was crazy at the time.

I feel for all those effected, but I have something thats been bothering me for a while. I know this was a huge tragedy and an exceptionally large landmark in history, BUT around 2 children die a minit in 3rd world countries.I know that this is not caused by fellow humans, but also consider the whole rwanda thing that happeneda few years ago. Millions lost thier lives there and I heard nothing of it until we were forced to learn it in planning 10. this wasnt a great distance awayeither. Were crying about 6000 or so americans dying, but when you look at the fcts the events that occured on this day, and this day aloneis small on the world spectrum compared to other catastrohees occuring in the past hundred years. Not to say that the after effects werent huge. Now this mini rant was fueled only by memory and probably haserrors and all that shit, but i think you get the idea. RIP victims of 9/11, and to every other casualty of war or hate in the world.

i i hear ya. in ethics class we talk about the people in Dafur, Congo (africa) and how there is mass genocide and such everyday, so i know the stuff your talking about

Wow you're really cool. You have no soul if you don't have any feelings for 9/11; I don't care if you're American or not, but you still have to feel some sympathy, I mean peoples families were torn by 9/11. How would you feel if your family was victimized by 9/11?

I think you ahve to look at this tho. First off, lots of peoples families die in car accidents leaving like one person in the family behind. Its sad, but when its your family its different. Its past sad you know? Because its your peeps. But anyway, our country does not support our presidents decisions or respect that fact that other people need help, this is especially true with younger people. If you think about it we did something you help the Kurds and look at what people did, they all think we are war mongering and killing babies. The same thing would happen if we went to anywhere else. We don't have support to do those things.

And to anyone who says we are not the alpha country, start a REAL war and see what happens.

I cant imagine the mindset of the terrorists! imagine, growing up believing your destiny is to kill people by flying a plane into a building. Its scarry.

Its true though...not to be rude, but the US had is commimg. They stick thier noses into everyones business. Im sorry, but its true.

naah I agree with him. America is like that cocky kid at your school who is only 5 feet tall and picks fights with everyone.

america is pretty powerful though if im not mistaken, id say its an average sized kid who plays games on his graphing calculator all day, and picks fights. solid analogy though takanka

I hope your entire family burns in a firey death while they are eating out for your sisters birthday, just so I can tell you that they had it coming and so I can have no compassion for you/

this thread isnt to blame the government for what they have done...it is to pay respect to those who innocently died on 9/11

see im canadian, and all i can think is that this is way overdone. sure, its bad, but compared to pretty much any other big events of the century, its small potatoes. sure, no one remembers any of the other big events, and those that can remember have alzheimers, so its the most important in recent memory. small potatoes compared to small potatoes is still small potatoes. do people on the west side of the states care at all about sept 11, is it just the east siders?
